Great news. If possible, please throw me on the list when a thread gets started in Ronin subforum in case I miss it.

What is the weight savings of the wooden sunroof?

What is the weight savings of the wooden sunroof?

If you mean the part pictured above plus the crate it would weigh 4x more than the factory piece.  As to the parts we are hoping to lose 20+lbs of the highest point of your car.

Kevin, thought you would enjoy this

Sauber F1 factory pre-preg layup, autoclave, machining, and rapid prototyping. No sound, but still cool to watch.

This makes me happy seeing someone put to use what I could not.  Excited to see the finished products and weights.

Has anyone updated the group buy list? And is there a price estimate yet? Definitely would like one of these for 500 or less. Anything past that I'm going to pass.

I don't think there is an official price or GB list yet.  Ronin?

I've been checking everyday and haven't seen anything yet sadly. I think if it was priced $300-$350 they would sell like crazy, but I don't know what they will end up doing.

I got the first one out of the mold, its in fiberglass but it still looks great. I'll try to get it installed tomorrow before I send it out to paint.

we got the first one fresh out of the mold for the sevenstock show out here today.  Then Anthony grabbed it before he left.
We want to experiment with a couple different layups to determine what will be the best trade-off for weight vs. rigidity.  This first one weighed about 4 lbs, we would prolly sell it for about 350 in fiberglass.  We will have a fiberglass one made a little differently, and a carbon one then announce the product in our vendor section.

I hope i can afford the carbon fiber, then I'll have to go shopping for a non-sunroof headliner.
