Vacuum pump, you will have problems with a Pcv system.

Vacuum pump can't be an option in my case. There's plenty of guys running PCV systems on their high HP boosted LS cars with no issues.

You can run two large lines from the valve covers to a catch can and it will work.  Vacuum pump just works better especially for mile racing.  Or just drysump the motor.

I was running just filters on the valve covers at first but got tired of the smell.  So no I run one filter and one to a PCV with a check valve in line so out of boost it runs like a stock system and in boost just vents to atmosphere.  I've got a catch can that I was going to hook up but the filter seems to catch almost all of the oil so I never got around to it.

For my NA setup that I plan to spray I have a line coming off the rear driver side valve cover going to one port of my catch can (w/ a 1-way check valve in the line). Then from the other port on the catch can I have a line going to my intake manifold.  Lastly I have a line going from my tb to the pass side valve cover port.

FYI I'm running an ls2 from a truck so I don't have the ls6 style pcv system.

I showed you these before, but I'd like everyone else's opinion on these as well.

Here are 3 systems I drew up.  The first one is one I used on my mr2 spyder turbo.  It's nice because even under boost, it's pulling vacuum.  Gotta be a sealed box and you have to have some kind of mesh on between the valve cover ports and the port going to the intake pipe.

The 2nd one, Is like Zbrown except it pulls from both valve covers.  It's one of those Moroso exhaust scavenge setups.  Zach said he hasn't seen much oil or anything in the exhaust so you might not need a can inline.  This is also nice because it pulls vacuum all the time as well.

The 3rd is the same as the second except with a sealed can inline to catch anything that came out.  You'd still need some kind of filter material in the can.

All of these use -10 fittings on each valve cover.

Why not use a catch can with a mesh screen incorporated into the can for option one rather than the sealed box.  I don't see how the mesh can be any use before or after the sealed box.

Here is what I'm running.

Mah bad.  Sealed box= catch can.  I made them at different times and labeled em differently.

Mefarri, I actually had your 1st one setup on mine originally.  I don't know if it was because I was a rearmount or what but I couldn't get enough suction thru the line.

Or a vacuum line ran in conjunction with a catch can pulling from the intake pipes on the tubros?  Supercharger cars do this,  under boost you'll have vacuum. And under normal driving you have your normal ls intake manifold vacuum.

For the sake of this thread, (I know Nick is already familiar with it) my setup seems to work very well.

The stock PCV hole in the driver's side valve cover is drilled out larger, but I kept the internal baffle in place, and I have a -12 AN lead to a Moroso breather/separator tank.   I get a TINY bit of oil out of it, but that's it.   I do not have positive suction though, just allow breathing.   FWIW, there is very little fuel smell when I change my oil also.    I am not leaning on the motor as hard as Nick is though.

One thing that actually matters on these setups is the angle in wich you attach the "barb" on the intake tube/exhaust tube.  That's why Moroso's is so shallow of an angle.  I think it's something like 15-20 degrees.  If you have it directly 90 degrees to the pipe, it's not going to do anything.
