Racing beat mufflers
« on: October 14, 2011, 12:41:38 AM »
I've searched it, I know it's been covered but I didn't wanna start those threads up again. All of them had a lot of arguments on them. Haha. Anyways I have a '90 gtu with an 04 gto ls1, it has 3 inch all the way back to magnaflows. It's a little loud. I have some pretty new racing beat dual mufflers but they are the N/A versions so I think are a little smaller diameter. Is it going to be a whole lot quieter with those? And will it reduce power too much to even bother with? Thanks.

They are really good high flow mufflers (my opinion) but the n/a versions are likely too small. The Large version that were sold for the Turbo 2 are really good.
I do love what I do!

Just got my hands on some T11 racing beat mufflers. They sound great for the LS1. Very quiet until you get on it. Perfect for a sleeper. I have 2.5" going back to them with small resonators.

Not sure for the n/a mufflers but I have the turbo ss racingbeat mufflers on my fc with 2 1/4 from stock exhast manifolds. Very very quiet, not sure what they sound like wot from outside the car but all I ever hear is the intake roar from the engine. Seem to flow good too, dyno'd 325whp 336wtq through them [attachimg=1]on my bone stock ls1
He who pull out too fast leave rubber behind.

Man who drive like hell bound to get there.

Man who make love to exhaust pipe of car have hot rod.

^ You've got to kidding.  Photoshop those?  Every year I intend to quiet my car down from the old school glasspacs and those might just be what I need to put a little soul back in my car.
You can make a barn door fly with enough horsepower.

Retirement at last.  Wife's not happy, I bought a '66 Rustang instead of paying off my F150.

Bahaha! I dont know what to think of those. Would look wierd on an FC. Could look really cool with one in the back of a rotary sand rail or something really custom like that.

You know that rotary stuff is expensive, (this is pretty mean):

I wonder if they blow up after 50,000 miles
