I'm so-so on the wing.  Is it basically an R1 wing cut into 3 pieces?

Kind-a, but not really. It's a Feed replica. I remember when it first came out back in the day, I always wanted one but just couldn't justify paying that much for it. I got this one from the rotary forum by chance while I was lurking. It's not as great as I remember.

I just noticed the blended in rear bumper. Looks really smooth. I suppose there isn't too many reasons to ever have to take off the rear bumper. I'm thinking about doing this. I already molded the front bumper to the fenders. I really need to update my build thread.

Your car is very inspirational.

I think you're mistaken. I did not blend in the rear bumper. I've done this in the past and strongly recommend against it if you're going to drive the car. I built this car to be able to driven anywhere. Rough roads and all. The blended parts do look great, but it will crack. Then you have to paint larger areas. Even when you get small chips and want to touch it up, it becomes a problem. I've used many methods for my customers in the past and haven't found a good solution. Again, if it's a show car that hardly gets driven, yes, but not our cars.

My mistake.. i was looking at pics from my cell and didn't see the line. I'm using fiberglass resin gel on the Burnout kit which is made out of FRP. We have about 7 layers of fiberglass cloth/mat bonding the bumper and fenders into 1 piece. Very time consuming waiting between coats. It seems to be a very strong seam. We'll find out over time if it cracks or not. I didn't trust FRP to not crack where the fender/bumper meet. There was plenty of stress in the seam to get the parts to pull together... and even then they were not perfectly flush. So I pulled the trigger, bonding them together. Hoping for the best.

I actually outsourced that part to my upholstery guy. I'll find out where on Monday.

Took her out on Sunday for roughly 200 miles. Hwy, side street, country road, went all over the place. Got stuck in traffic. Gas mileage was right at 17 mpg. I can't believe how fin this thing is. Man did I miss driving this car.

Finish one thing, and start another. It's a disease. Why do men always find more shit to spend money on???? Already ordered, new lip, sides, and a wing. This junk never stops!

Sorry if you mentioned this already, but with all of the work you put into this car, why didnt you go with a 99 spec front end?  Would have finished the car off perfectly.

Still gorgeous btw.

Personal preference. I, contrary to 99.99% of the peeps out there, don't like the 99 spec front. It's just me.
