Yes, you are correct. I don't' even know what all I need. I knew I needed this, the cradle, and I think I need the axles. I'm not sure about the driveshft but that shouldn't be too hard to source out.

I am only now collecting the parts myself (I have everything but the center section and driveshaft..was planning on using a DSS one). DSS are building my DSS axles, they are the ones with 31 spline Cobra inners, upgraded outer race, and Mazda outer. I couldn't do it.

Hahaha, thanks for the offer. I'll think about it. This one just fell into my lap. I had a bike my buddy was eying for years. I traded him for the motorcycle because I never rode it any more. I don't think a car like this was on my radar. If it wasn't a trade, I'd probably wouldn't have obtained it. I like it tho.

Hahahaha, I drove it for 2 days. I'm working on the hood but the guy I bought it from didn't tell me the hood had been damaged and fixed. Fixed badly! So I have a new OEM hood on the way. But I did manage to pick this baby up. My buddy did some turbo mumbo jumbo mods and is pushing 600+ at the wheels. It's a 02 TT AWD and by far the best handling car I've ever driven!

Dang man you must be hard up for cash. Listen, i know building these swaps can wipe out the wallet but lowering yourself to have to drive a POS daily driver like that is inexcusable.

Tell you what I will ship down my 1993 Suzuki Swift and will even cover shipping for your ride to get up here. I KNOW i know; this is a noble and very charitable act but I pride myself in helping others in need.

You know the 8.8 swap is like super documented right?  Justin Samberg sells the rear cradle for it.  Actually, I'm pming you about something.   :drive:

Looking funtastic bud :)

Got any more dinoc? I was thinking the other day that a good canidate inside the engine bay would be the inner fender liners on the engine side. Just enough to cover the black plastic part that shows on each side of the engine bay. I ended up making the executive decision to restrict my dinoc to the interior so I think that means you've got to try it out so the rest of us know what it would look like  :yay:

I must have not applied the dinoc very well. The flat pieces are fine, but the curvy surfaces are not holding up to the heat. I'm gonna shy away from it for a bit.

Crap! That's a real shame. Interior or Exterior? Any specific parts that are giving you the most trouble?

Interior because it gets hot. The flat parts are okay, only the parts where I had to stretch, curvy parts, concave parts, are effected. Convex parts seem to hold up.

I think it's just inherently difficult, because I've noticed that even lots of show cars have problems with vinyl and compound curves. I think you need to use a heat gun or something (but then I've seen where this seems to distort the vinyl...if you do, don't get it too hot, you don't want to breath vinyl fumes (if it even gets hot enough..)..).

Anyone ever try that ultra suede? It seems thin enough to wrap the plastic no? If not, I might just have to paint it. I painted my last FD and it looked okay but the car was silver and the silver accents on the interior looked awesome.

I doubt the orange will look anything but ricey.

I'm going to use Alcantara (brand name ultrasuede) on my interior. They have cover, panel, and perforated. Panel and perforated have no backing and so are better for complex curves. I'm gonna make some scans off of a HyperRev for you (with Dinoc and ultrasuede interior FDs.... :yay:).

I agree that you should stick with blacks, silvers, greys etc... (well, that's not really what you said, but yeah..).

Where can you buy that stuff? I have a fabric shop in front of me and they didn't even know. One bad thing using other stuff is if you mess up, you're stuck with all that glue. Dinoc just peels off if you don't' like it. Let's see them pics.
