Okay kids, I have a dilemma, look at where the head meets the block.[attach=1] It's always wet[attach=2]. It never sees the floor nor do you ever see it on the block. It's due to my mistake in not using enough sealant around the head bolts during installation.

So, do I rip it open to redo the head gasket? or do I drive it until it gets worse. I finally got this thing up and want to rag it out a bit. What do you guys think? Could it cause potential problems?

The bolts holes should be dry on an LS1, so they can't leak coolant.

I think the trick flow guys told me I should have used extra sealant on the smaller bolts. The ones inside the valve cover. Either way, it's a very slow seepage. You couldn't even see it on the lower block, but I know it's there. I don't' know if it's going to get worse.

That's news to me if they aren't blind holes.    I know early LS1s are, I'm 99% sure LS2s are, I don't think that changed in the later LS1s.  If so, they cannot leak coolant.   If you're leaking coolant, it's either the steam tube ports or the head gasket.

Way too much work to put this on. It's a straight bolt on part but since I widened the rear, I had to sand the outer edges to meet up with the new contour. It took much longer than I thought.

Oh, it's good fitment but the quality is not as good as I thought. It's so thin, the light shines right through it. It could be a little thicker.

Looks great.  Did you use some kind of weather stripping too?

Yeah, I didn't like the raw CF edge rubbing up against the paint. It's just your edge seal you see on lots of side skirts/ fender flares, etc..

Weird, weird, weird! No leaks now. It stopped leaking. Don't get it but I'm not gonna touch it. Weird......

On another note, more jewelry!
