-The Widebody Beast -Zero Traction LS1 FC-
« on: July 05, 2011, 11:42:36 PM »
Here is my post deployment toy. I purchased most of the parts while deployed on my first tour to Iraq. Upon arrival back to the states I had 3 weeks of wrench time to get it running and shipped from oregon to NC. So here is my journey.

90' gxl 66k
98 ls1 - t56
Walbro 255 pump
pbm coilovers
DTSS elim
18x10 -5 18x11 -5 work vs-kf
bn sports aero
shine auto front and rear wide fenders
shine auto roof wing

Just a quick some of the parts. I know there is more that I am leaving out.

Here it is, my second FC - 90 gxl with 66k

Previously had an lsx in it so I thought the swap would be a snap. Well the only thing ls related that was still there was the mounts and exhaust.

So I took it to a buddy to get it painted, Tuxedo Black from the 2010 F150's

Got it home to get the motor dropped Around Xmas time

Well After dropping the engine I began the task of wiring. I thought my motor was a 99 so I purchased a tuned 99 ECM. After recieving the computer I found out my motor was a 98. So I could either get a new ecu or re-pin

I am skipping all the little issues I ran into mainly because I did all the engine work 7 months ago and forgot most of the problems.

Oh hello

You may not like how I did my fan relay but it works and is easily accessible

Started Fitting my Aero "PITA"

overflow

Still waiting on the rest of the aero from paint

Thats it for now, In the next week I will have the finished pictures with the aero, wheels and dropped. Maybe a driving video who knows.

I'm not usually a fan of BN but, with that much gloss and those wheels it should look great. Please tell me they are the "burning black" finish on the kf's or whatever it's called. I can't wait to see the wheels fitted with the overs since it's similar to my sizes. Are you running stretched tires? Drift Car?

Yes burning black ofcourse.  Tires are federals "i know i know" with 215 35 and 235 35, the rears are stretched something serious. I might buy some 245's

Haven't hit the sideskirts yet, But haven't gone over any speed bumps yet either haha. The rear of the sideskirt is about two inchs from the ground. I could go lower but I won't, still need to be able to drive it

First of all, the car looks great. Good job. Second, I'm glad to see someone else with a different engine bay color. Let's start a trend - it's two of us now. Disclaimer: Black engine bay doesn't count.
