did some work today.

got the rear end in minus the watts links but that takes a few minutes and don't need to be in to push the car in the parking lot for the work week.

here is the wheels on the car.

tmorrow I finish up the steering and front brakes so I can push the car into the $3 a day parking vs. the $51 day bay. I start work on monday so I wint have time till next asturday and want sunday off to prep for work after the 30 day break.

I clean the bay up every day when I leave. today I said fuck it and left 3 hours early. I needed a break from the damn impossible work. the problem is all the parts I have are for the FB and I have a SA22C. For example theholes for the lower control arms are 7/8" on a FB (what the rear end kit is made for) and on the SA22C the holes are 1/4" and they are impossible to reach with a drill of any kind. Then don't get me started about the SA22C frame. It is \at best 4" away from where the FB frame in locations. For example the FB grannies tranny brace attaches to the floor pan. yeah, NO! On the SA the bolt holes are on the OTHER side of the frame rails. Then there are lower control arms. Guess what, my car has them, FBs don't. So how am I sposd to bolt this shit off? fuck, I am really frunk right now. Later on tomororow

Kinda makes me glad I didn't go with the "bolt in" option.

car is on its new shoes and parked outside. the rear is at the highest setting with the coilovers and it is about 10mm from rubbing. I gotta roll the rears at least.the front is jacked up bad camper caster toe everything is fucked. I will post a picture but I forgot to get a rear stance picture. the rear stance is so fucking badass right now. I had to use the 35mm spacers in the front to push it out of the bay. just looking at how it was rubbing I think I need 15mm spacers to fit the fronts. pics and more details after dinner.

How much tire clearance on the inside do you have?

about 5mm inside in the rear. the front I have about 20mm. I am ordering front spacers more accurate for my needs but these 35mm are just to get it out of the shop. I want to get the motor in before I measure for the front spacers.

I am going to have to me thinks. I want to go wide body someday but if I can manage with just pulling that will work for now. Next set of tires will be 255 M/T instead of 245 Kuhmo's ;)

Spend some time with a good tool and you can definitely do that with a roll/pull.

major problems getting the steering system to work with the LS1 :( here are some pictures of today's work

as you can see, I am having serious issues with how to mount this thing. the steering system is in the way and the crossmember is in the way. Tomorrow, I will pull the camaro mounts off align the motor best I can then install the tranny brace. after that I will see which mounting system works best and go that route. Either front solid mount, corvette mount, custom weld in mount, or reversing the camaro mounts. we will see.
