I bought the complete basic kit. No adjustable rod ends etc. But it was complete. Fitment was a tiny bit off in places, missing hardware, missing pieces to the kit and poor overall customer service. I paid up front in full and it took them over 6 weeks to get me all my parts. That being said I think the work they do is great, and the parts are top notch. It's a small business and I don't think they have the man power to make us all happy. I have heard COD is the only way to deal with "Grannys". Making a custom "bat-wing" and running an IRS with more popular aftermarket gear sets would be much cheaper, lighter, and accomplish the same thing IMO. Suprised grannys doesn't make that kit!

correct me if i'm wrong but I read on the mustang boards the solid rear was about 80lb's lighter than the cobra IRS, now I'm not sure if that would apply the same to our swapped rears.  Solid has less drivetrain loss, solid has better traction and less rear hop issues, solid is stronger (not that the irs isn't strong enough though)

I won't argue the soild rear is better for a drag racing only application. Just depends how far U want to go.  I know I recall scottie hitting 1.51 60's and probably better with his IRS setup.   This is a pic of his alum corvette rear diff modified for the Rx-7.

I can't imagine that alum rear is much heavier than a soild rear? I suppose the factory rx-7 cradle is pretty heavy. I haven't weighed any of it so I can't give an educated answer there.

so you running 31 spline with c-clips ?  If you don't mind me asking, how much $$ you got into the rear?

Hey I remember that car! Sweet ride for sure! long time no see...

I'm an open book my friend....  I don't remember the exact cost, it was ridiculous.  By far the most expensive part of the car. I believe it was $2400 or so once it was all said and done. I remember I sold my motorcycle to pay for it.  :'(  Yes, it has the 31 spline axles, w/ c-clips.

This is pretty much what my setup looked like.  All of the watts linkages were standard from a FB Rx-7. That is also why my rear isn't exactly centered in the wheel well.

I appreciate that but... $300! Not sure if you realize what a cheap bastard I am. :) If it really bothered me I’d just cut the ones I have in half and slide a steel pipe over them and weld it centered.  I really didn’t even notice until I got that huge 28” tire on there.

It's a photoshop image I did of my car. It was just some random google image of a car doing a wheelie. I believe it was a cougar. Very fake...  :drive:
