Two years ago my flat bed trailer was on the street and a illegal - drunk on his ass smucked it. Shoved the trailer sideways over the curb onto the lawn and into a tree. He boogied and left the car on my lawn too. Mashed both rims and bent the springs and axcels. The car was borrowed from a friend of his and was insured, but seeing as he was a illegal no charges were brought against him and was deemed not liable for his actions and was deported back to Mexico. He got away scott free and I ended up paying over $500.00 out of pocket to repair my trailer... Hell he was prob. back up here in Wyoming before i could even get the parts ordered...

That happened to my brother! He got T boned by 3 illegals in his 240 and they kept telling us not to call the cops and that they'll give cash to pay for the damage, called the cops anyway and the illegals gave us the information on where they work and so we contacted their boss and he's american who owns a farm (go figure) and he denied knowing those guys and ofcourse the cops let them go...... >:(

Unfortunately this is a big problem all over the country. I cant tell you how many calls I respond to on a weekly basis regarding these types of crashes. The big hang up is that most local and state governments do not have any laws regarding the detention and/or deportation of confirmed illegal aliens. The state government advises that illegal aliens are a federal problem the federal government then intern advises that its up to each state to enforce it. But with most states not having any laws in place nothing gets done. The federal agency ICE can deport but is extrememly undermaned and does not have the resources and man power to deport everyone that needs to be around the country, they also usualy only get involved when the illegal alien is found guilty and sentenced for violent crimes. But again once the illegal alien serves his/her time in prison and is deported they can easily just change their name and come back accross the border.
Sorry for the lenghty post, but I feel for the victims of these crimes and figured i would add my 2 cents.

Did they ever get a hold of the cars owner? If the owner has insurance on the car it could cover this accident. My wife is a insurance agent and she says it depends on the insurance the owner has.
