Yeah, its had the imroved racing baffle in it (no trap doors) for the past two seasons.

I'd like to add an accusump too, but that'll probably have to get done over the winter.  Summer is here, im done trying to improve stuff for now  :drive:

IT'S ALIVE

Started up first try, idled great and made great oil pressure.  New cooling system is working as it should, just gotta finish up the trans and exhaust system and we'll be back in business.

:drive: :drive: :drive: :drive:

I'm running a dual racing beat system with electric cutouts this year.

Your build has always been one of my favorites. Is that just a factory c5 air bridge?

Thanks man   it's an ls7 air bridge with a k&n drop in filter.

All I have left is to finish the exhaust system and wire up the electric cutout valves.  Hopefully It'll be driving around tommorrow.

The new motor is making great oil pressure, 50psi at idle @ 185 degrees water temp.  Gotta put 500 miles on it before the first track day at the end of the month  :drive:

The car is running great, looking to replace the rear end on it before it goes to the track.  The backlash on it is pretty bad, and half a tooth came out when I changed the gear oil last week  :-[

I'll probably get it to the tuner when the break in is done on it, should make a tad bit more power than last year (400whp)

I was hoping to make it to Waterford at the end of the month, but I doubt the car will be ready in time.

I'll probably try to hit up a local autox after the break in is done, and then definitely make it to Grattan at the end of August.  The club that I run with is called 3ballsracing.

Small update

Car is running great, almost broken in.  The electric cutout valves on the exhaust are really fun to play with, I'll post some pics / video soon.  I've been working on a few bugs with it -

The OEM fuel pump wire connector going through to the tank was burning up, too much juice going through the factory wiring for the supra pump.  I ended up re-wiring the pump based off of someone's suggestions on here for their FD setup, appears to be working well.  I still have to install an autometer gauge / sender for the fuel level.

Also, have to make some new ducting for the new radiator setup, it's sorta just hanging there behind the bumper right now, and the ECT is hanging around over 200 on hot days.  A good ducting setup should take care of that.

Made an appointment to get it back on the dyno at the end of the month, shooting for over 400 whp this year.   First track day is scheuuled for the end of August  :drive:

So this happened yesterday while I was at work -

Had to swap the wheels out in the parking lot, was getting some strange looks from passersby since it was late at night  :D

Ended up getting this mint set of Direzza Star Specs the next day for next to nothing, used tire shop had no idea what they were. SCORE!
