So.... 9 months without an update...  :D

Lot of changes have gone on since we left off.....

Drilled slotted rotors / ceramic pads
929 Master cyl / booster
Stainless lines
Padded cage
K&N drop in for ls7 airbridge and silicone coupler
Titanium header wrap
1'5/8'' poorboy longtubes
Mariah motorsports wing

Went to the track ...

Did some drifting ...

Today I took some photos before I take it back apart for the winter -

Ah gotcha.  Yeah it was noisy as hell actually lol.  Me and my buddy had to take turns driving the truck next to it because it was whining so bad.

Anyway, haven't had any issues since we rebuilt it.  It's got solid mounts on it and hasn't complained yet so far on the track.  Might be a different story if we were drag racing it though...

Do you take it apart every winter? Seems like a pretty good habit.

Ha not on purpose... unfortunately I was visited ONCE AGAIN by the bearing failure fairy for the second summer in a row.  New internals and pump, motor was broken in properly and oil was checked all the time.  Pressure was low since the rebuild.

Fortunately this time I have a warranty on the longblock from my buddy / engine builder, I just have to give him back the motor and supply the parts.  Hopefully it'll just need some bearings and a pump  :secret:

Other plans for the winter include oil and steering coolers, bigger radiator, and taurus fan.  Also want to re-do the exhaust and add some cutout valves (and maybe even sidepipes!)

Are you going to use OEM internals?

Yeah, basically just replace whatever is wrong with it.  I will be running a GMPP oil pump though.

Got a sick deal on this Griffin radiator on Amazon, apparently the box is damaged so I got it for $150 shipped   :)  it's a 26.5x19 2 row.

I'm gonna try a taurus fan with this one, see if it does better than the C4 / Volvo combo I ran last year.

Huge Griffin radiator came. Got an amazing deal on amazon because the box was damaged. Kitteh approves.

Will be using a Taurus fan with this one

No worries, just needs a set of bearings and an oil pump.

My builder is covering most of it so the costs should be minimal.  Should be more reliable and making more power very soon

Put a fresh coat of paint on the engine bay since it's empty at the moment...

Motor is back in  :yay: changes for this season -

Rebuilt bottom end, Clevite race bearings, Melling oil pump, bumped the compression a bit, blah blah.

2.5 dual Racing Beat exhaust with external dump tubes / X pipe

Griffin radiator / Taurus fan

Samberg surge tank

Front mounted oil cooler

Should be running next weekend hopefully, I'll make a gratuitous first engine start video as is expected.
