Looking good.   I need a new wheel and quick release for mine.   Over cage/under wheel on the way in/out of the car is a SOB.

You may find that deep dish wheel too far away from the blinker and wiper stalks.
I ordered a flat steering wheel for mine to bring it closer.

Thanks Blake.

Hmm. I think I might need some other kind of hub too..I'm not sure how this is supposed to mount on the steering column...never done this before..(I had an aborted E36 project that I got for 1k, parted it out, kept the engine, took it apart and cleaned everything up, then had the machine shop build it with forged parts, +.5mm 8.8:1 Wisecos, etc., a forged 2.8l crank (it's sort of a "M50B28tu" (there's no such thing officially)). I've never gotten this far in a project car build. How do those 6 holes connect it to the steering column? Some additional hub/adapter thing?

How tall are you thetastelingers? I'm 5'7" with accordingly short limbs I suppose.

You need a hub adapter that converts the splined steering column shaft to the 6 bolt pattern.

Alright thanks. I think burning steel is quickly becoming my third favorite smell. "Burning Chrome" is a short story, written by William Gibson and first published in Omni in July 1982. Omnipresent targeted banners beamed directly to your visual cortex. Act now.

Some small chassis mods in progress
[attach=1]
Some re-enforcement plates I will MIG into place, once I can roll the car outside (I like mefarri's rolling jackstand bases)
[attach=2]
I'll trim this a little once it's welded in place. I'm doing all the prototypes on the driver's side first.

If you neede a hub. I got a normal one for cheap. I bought my NRG short and quick release setup and have no use for it. I dont get home to June 28th but I am sure my parents can find it and mail it if you are in a hurry.

I'm pretty much broke and not in a hurry but thanks! Hence the little nearly-free mods lately. (But thank you for your service!).

I'll sell you those rolling jack stand bases if you want.   I don't think I'll use them for a while as the suspension is already done on my car.  I got most of them built before I bought Jim's car and now I don't have any use for them.

Sent you guys PMs about the bases and hub.
This is kind of a cool shot of the bucket/lens combo, which I like a lot. I haven't cut the frame yet, I need to make some brackets, and get some lamps (Hella 90mm?).
[attach=1]
Here's another angle. Not sure what color I want to get it painted. I like white and gray FDs among others.
[attach=2]
This is where I got the idea for the little plates. RE-Amemiya Hurricane. Other than the two plates here what you see here, so far it's all been my ideas. Notice also that Amemiya's doesn't have flared holes LOL.
[attach=5]
This bumper cover came with these weird steel canards. I can tell it's not a replica, because although they could have conceivably existed at some point, it has this simple metal framework behind it, perhaps for an undertray, like the original. Original style indicators too. I wonder what the car it came off of looked like, it's history. It almost certainly was Japanese or from some other country.
[attach=4]
(It kinda looks cool with no lens or lamps...)
I'm having some trouble, getting errors. I'll try again later.Fixed.
