89' RX7 302 Swapped Vert, Track Ready
« on: April 10, 2011, 01:45:05 PM »
The car has been in storage...I would rather have someone have some fun with it.

The car is a fucking blast to drive, and I've never had one motor problem, or ever gone above 210F on the hottest of tracks. Not to mention, driving this around on the street is pretty fun. The car is extremely reliable...I've never had a motor problem in the four years I've owned it. I've driven it from San Diego to LA on multiple occasions. It's just a really mechanically solid car.

While at an event in Texas, someone hit my door. The door still opens and closes, and the window still goes up and down surprisingly. It's also a little dented in the bottom left portion of the rocker, but the side skirt covers it up.

Car is located in Temecula, CA; asking 8500$

If you are interested and have questions call, text or email me.

The good:
Registered, Licensed and insured in California
Title in hand
NO mechanical issues
It's badass

The bad:
Needs new passenger door

A few features:

Drop Top at Full Lock | StanceWorks

what kind of gas mileage is the 302 getting in the fc? i've never paid any attention to ford swaps before, but this one is pretty impressive...

It's actually not bad at all...I think I drove to LA at around 15-20mpg.

Made it myself haha...so I guess one of a kind.

god...i really like this thing...can tell she likes to run on the track but how are her manners for regular driving?

edit: so many questions popping up in my mind. this car is rather exciting!

Have you weighed it to see what kind of balance you have with the iron block? what does it run in the 1/4? and what kind of numbers is the 5.0 putting down?

btw I kinda hate you because I'm notorious for hating anything Ford...but damnit you're tempting me to turn to the darker dark side...lol.

dude...buy it... this is a RETARDED deal if anyone is seriously wanting to enter Pro-am...or even moving to formula D. better part is the car is 100% streetable and honestly daily drivable too.( i know cuz i had a built 302 fc DD )..

bump for a sick ass clean, amazing car for a good deal.

I have never officially had it weighed, but I've been told by many that my setup should weigh about as much as a T2. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but it sure feels nicely balanced on track. The whole top end is aluminum now...the block is the only thing left cast.

When the motor was in a regular FC chassis it rain a low 12 and trapped 120 something on street tires. As for power....in the 4 years I've had this car, I've never dyno'd it. I would assume it's somewhere in the mid-three hundreds.

I was never a big Ford guy either, but this motor is just such a tank...I wanted something SUPER reliable on track; never 1 motor issue.

Sorry for the late response...I don't have a whole lot of free time with my current job situation right now haha.
