Yea 400 HP from a Subaru engine is pretty easy to do, and reliable if tuned properly.

Just a little update on how this little FFR 818 has turned out.  These are the pictures taken before putting it on a truck to SEMA; personally, I'm excited about this car again and can't wait to see it in person!

Meh..Looks like a low rent honda S2000 from china. Too bad I didnt see this a year ago. I've got friends that are real designers and could have made something cool.
That and the CAD model on the FF website has more spans/patches then grandmas quilt. Definitly not class A.
For the record, I am a surface modeler at an OEM for the past 5 yrs building interior exterior parts, not just some opinionated hater(altho I might be that too)

A 'Lofter'?   8)

I'm interested in the final cost of this project.  The frame could be done better I would think.

10K + donor car

The body panels are gel coat and apparently it's the plan to allow the car to be ordered in a handful of colors.  Meaning unless you want to go custom, the car should not require "paint"

I still think it's cool, but yeah, S2000 + LS1 would be better IMO.

Square (and square-looking extruded) frame rails are fairly common, as long as it's designed well should be great rigidity/weight ratio.  I dig the effort.

Ugly as hell!  Period... I would have expected more out of FF.  Maybe they should take some styling cues from Falcon, that is the first time i ever saw that F7 car, and wow.  Amazing.

They weren't going after that look for the 818... if you want Factory Five's Supercar look, you buy their GTM kit.  The 818 is the low cost kit aimed at the world of autoX and similar events.

FFR GTM for reference

I agree... Factory Five does seem to always blow it on the front ends of their cars.

Who's blowing whose front end?
