wow great job, that front looks way better!!

thanks thanks. I still need to install my headlights and find some lexan covers for the headlight buckets. I will probbably end up makng them like every freakn thing else on this car. I'm also planning on covering the 4 fog light holes and making a carbon splitter/bumper belly pan.

I keep coming up with things I'd like to make out of carbon, I'm thinking I'm gonna need two more sheets of he stuff. Can you have too much carbon fiber ifits all functional and fits well?

Been pretty hot & heavy on this damn car lately.

fired this thing up this week. Sounds real good. I decided to go blowthru turbo. Motor is bone stock 2006 lq4. Didn't even change the pan. Stainless 2.5" up pipes welded to truck manifolds. Turbo is a Garret TA51 (71mm). 4" open downpipe exits behind starter. Large intercooler and 4" charge pipe. Still need to finish up a few things and get the carb setup for boost.

Nice- I guess you are going to beat me on the the blow thru - you're ahead already.

What are you doing for the carburetor? Who did you decide to go with or build it yourself?

So far I'm 100% on C&S.

a friend will be building the carb in the pictures. hes on horsepowerjunkies.com and a small time blowthru doctor. he has a blowthru rotary, big block chevy and a 6.0 motor. all run really good. let me know if you want to hook up with him. he is in Durham NC

I'm not in a rush - I'll be gone for a while and I want to finish almost everything mechanical and electrical before I make my last big investment. I'll keep track on how it works out for you first so make sure you post up  :)

It's not really right.     Looking from the front, it should go from the crank pulley up to the alternator, then down to the water pump pulley, then up to the tensioner and back down to the crank again.    That said, you have good wrap on everything, so if it works, go for it.  :)

Nice build. I guess I'm just confused by carbs. What is that elbow thing? I used to live on a "pro street", of sorts.

that might be to much distance from the alt to the tensioner

If it starts slipping or something crazy i will change it. seems to work ok for now. havent put any real RPM on it yet though.

Its just the carb hat. its merely a way to adapt the charge pipe to the inlet of the carb.

I took the car to get tuned yesterday. having issues with it running hot.... I am currently using a 2003 cobra radiator but the motor stil gets up around 210 when driving it. How much radiator cap do i need? it is constantly blowing water into the overflow. I put a 16lb cap on it and tried it with and without a t-stat.

We were getting closer with the tune, just driving it down the road and nailing it.... this bitch pulls like crazy!!! then it blew through the clutches in high gear of my glide. I left it with the tuner to go through the trans and replace the gear. the tune should be right when i get it back.

im also going to E85 in favor of the $$$$$$$ vs 110. Hope it will keep my coolant temps in check also. This thing is going to fly when i get it back. I was really hoping to have it at the track this weekend, but i have learned with this car that the weak links really become apparent and typically cost me a good chunk of change.

couple of pics from the tuners shop:
