as for tire rub on the rear trailing arm, i decided it's just something I have to live with.
Tires flex
so far i see rubber on the trailing arms (painted white so its super easy to tell) but there is no indication on the tire of rubbing, so im ignoring it.

I like the way Joel mentioned sectioning with pipe the tire contact area on the trailing arm, I havent gotten around to it, most likely never will :p

A+ Ash! Nice to see things improving! I want to move to a true race tire but need to get things a little more in shape first, im about 3 secs off consistantly from the big guns around here with me running 888's and i feel i can close that gap some more before moving up in tires.

I agree. If it is rubbing, I don't think it is enough to care about. I will know for sure when I put the storage tires on the car this weekend.

Small update or tire rub-

No tire rub in front at all.
Right rear rubbed off a little paint on the rear trailing arm, and the left rear just polished the paint.

I may go to a slightly thicker spacer in the rear but I don't believe the rub is even enough to care about. I marked the inner shoulders of the tires at the track to see where they were rubbing, and it is a very narrow area near the shoulder of the tire.

Yea no kidding. I'm just relieved that these seemed to work ok. If they have a life close to an NT01 and don't fall off, they will be fine.

I scored a set of used Longacre scales on Ebay, those will be here next week. I'm really interested in corner balancing the car and also seeing what it weighs.

Here is a video from 2 weeks ago after I chased down a Viper on Hoosiers (pulling him on the straights even :)) and ran one of my faster laps of the day after he let me go by. It was 100 degrees out so track temps were far from optimal. Notice even at these temps with the new tires how much less I am counter steering and correcting vs. earlier videos. I think I will be able to shave a second or more easily off my best time of 1:33.2 when it cools back down. I need to free the car up a bit now as it slightly pushes in the long turn 2 at Willow. You see my speed drop as I had to let off to get the car back on line. I think an air pressure adjustment will do it.

Thanks Don! It is getting there. I kind of want to see how fast I can get it without aero modifications. I don't think I can break into the 1:20s without aero though.

That video was a treat man! I am sitting up here at my family's cabin in Idaho on lake pend oreille enjoying a cup of coffee with my head phones on listening to the symphony coming from your engine bay while laying the smack down at the track. Man you make me jealous at times! :)

Nice driving and lap time especially given the ambient air temperature. Very encouraging to see someone stay dedicated to the FC and pushing it to its limits.

The more I watch your videos the more I am tempted to go SD only and Ronin 8.8 (but who am I kidding, until I buy the diff and the HP Tuner credits....I am all talk lol)

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! The car still has a lot left in it. I've been watching some of my footage from early this year vs. this latest footage and the difference in stability between the old setup and the new one is dramatic. I actually want to free the car up just a touch now as I've been looking at the data and can see I'm losing time in a couple places where the car is under steering and I have to get off the throttle slightly to get the car back in line.

View 1:48-2:10 in the latest video above, compared to this one from Feb. I didn't add telemetry to this but you can hear I don't let off the throttle at all, and keep a constant 80+ mph speed through turn 2. Also notice the amount of counter steering I'm doing.

http://youtu.be/8yL7wHVlhEU

Conversely you can watch the speed drop and hear me pedal the car in the latest video to keep the car where I wanted it.

Ash, I know it is a matter of personal feel/preference but I would suggest softening your spring package and let the tires work for you. 500 front, 300 rear is what I am thinking. What swaybars are you using?
I do love what I do!

Thanks Charlie. I may try that out to sanity check this setup. All I am running for sway bars is an RB front bar. I was running 500/350 before (with different struts though) and the car felt better and was faster with the new setup and stiffer springs. I know that is apples to oranges, but just saying. The tire wear is more consistent now as well. To date, the stiffer I have went in front, the better the car has become. I did go too stiff in the rear and dropped the spring back down to 400.

I have a set of 500# springs already. I would just need to buy a set of 300 lb springs for the rear.

As an aside, the other FC guys here seem to be going stiffer with their spring rates (towards what I'm running).

I did not get to try this setup on a short, technical track this season, and still have a question if it will be too stiff. I think the car will be ok, but we will see. The Streets of Willow track is bumpy in sections.
