I got to put around 500 miles on mine before I had to store the car for the winter.  I didn't noticed any difference between mile 1 and 500... But assuming Redline D4 will make it a little smoother.  It is pretty awesome already and I can't wait to be able to beat on it.

On a side note, it took around 10-15K for my Mazda 6 manual trans to break in so I suspect this might take a little more than 1000 miles... We will see.

I bought my 04 Cobra with a T56 new and it took close to 3000 miles before I noticed a difference.

Got it all in today and it was pretty straightforward. The fact that It uses fewer bolts to the bellhousing was a little surprise. I just had time to drive it around the block this afternoon. It feels good but I can tell it needs some break in miles. I just dumped in the Redline D4 I had on hand.

The shortened driveshaft worked out great as well. I had it shortened 1 1/8” for anyone curious. I’ll throw some pictures up soon.

Put about 50 miles on the trans today. Driveshaft is nice and smooth. The car drives much better with the lower 5th and 6th gear. Pretty happy so far.

Does it also have a taller 1st and second?

No. This is the “close ratio” box. Same ratios at a close ratio Magnum. Fbody gearing 1-4, with GTO/CTSV shorter 5th and 6th (.8 and .63 now vs .74 and .5 in the Fbody T56).

This exact trans combo used to be available as a “custom” Fbody gearbox for $5k. Now that Tremec makes the Magnum F, they cut that market off at the knees.

Hey Ash, remind me, what are you using for clutch hydraulics end to end...
LS2 stroker FC, Mandeville big brakes, widebody, etc

Nothing magical. The willwood slave, Speedway banjo to -3 adapter, Speedway Braided -3 clutch line with LS quick disconnect. The entire clutch line is covered with firebraid sleeve.

I now have the Luk slave, and I have a 6 inch or so remote bleed line. The line is attached to a bracket that mounts to the trans case.

I can get you the part numbers from my spreadsheet if you like.

I’ve had 0 clutch issues, and the clutch has been really consistent.

Hey amigo,
I wanted to get some fresh links up on the Ronin website and thought it might be fun to link some build thread of guys doing rad stuff using Ronin gear.  We threw a link to your build.  That cool?

I think I will head out to the track in Jan to shake the dust off.

Also I am thinking I am going to add a blower back into the car and hook it to the vents in the doors.

I picked up a Jabsco bilge blower, it is 3 inch in and out, and I will run the blower to a 3 inch wye,  then 3 inch tube to each door vent. The blower is the same blower I am using in my RZR for a helmet pumper.

Wow, that's bright, even on my phone. Lol

On a related note, why is it so hard to find helmets with air inlets?
I've noticed that on Saferacer.com, very few of their helmets have inlets, and even though I've requested it from their customer service, they still have no way to search for only helmets with air inlets.

Any better sources?
Thanks
