Mother Fu@#%r and the oil burning./.  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: . Why is it i have built 100+ engines in my life for other people but when I do one for myself it all goes to shit... SHIT!!!!. 
So here are the leak down numbers.
#1 5%, #2 5%, #3 4%, #4 4.5%, #5 5%, #6 5%.  Hyper pistons that require a .026" top ring gap so the leak down numbers are really good.
Compression test is 198 +- 2lbs on all cylinders..
New guides .0014 clearance on intake and .0018 on exhaust, new viton seals,  .575" retainer to seal clearance.
Cam is 270, .505 in  276, .515 ex on a 112LC 4 degrees advanced.
1000 miles on the bottom end, driven now 300 miles with the PCV disconnected.
Oil level is not getting into the crank counter weights.
WTF AM I MISSING>..   


Any ideas?   
I am pulling the intake manifold again but this time I will measure the angle between the heads and intake. It's one of the things I did not do yet, I may be sucking oil in from the lifter valley.. 
I don't know how to test or if it is at all possible that the valve train is getting over oiled.   Oil pressure is 60lbs hot over 2000rpm and about 40 at idle.. 
Other then that I ready to put an electric motor in it..

With good seals/guides, even if the valvetrain is soaked, I wouldn't think you'd be burning a ton.     Intake definitely sounds worth looking at.    I hate issues that don't have any apparent reason for existing.  :(

Oil must be getting into the intake, Idk how you could get so unlucky with the valve seals.  Are your valves single groove or double groove

no oring groove on valve stems.
pics show #3 and #4 cylinder ports sorry the photos are not right side up.  Bottom of port under injector is dry from fuel.   But you can see the film of oil in the ports and intake.

I used a bore scope and the stems are dry..
So before I did new guides in the heads #2 cylinder was perfect, no hint of oil, now it does (they all do now).  I am going to pull the intake manifold, measure the angle and take a straight edge to it... 
Oil consumption dropped from qt/150miles before guides to 1qt/6~700miles after. My machinist when he looked at the heads had doubts that it was the cause of oil consumption.

I pulled the intake manifold and flipped it over on my bench and took these pictures.  What do you think? I may have found my problem.

so something is definitely up with intake or heads... I assume the intake gaskets fit correctly?
