FC Bushings
« on: September 01, 2024, 12:31:24 AM »
I'm in the process of going 8.8 rear end with the Ronin kit.  I'm replacing bushings and all that while I'm down there, but I'm having trouble finding the rear subframe and different bushings.  Are there any vendor's I'm just completely missing that sell these parts?

EDIT: Meant to post this in Drivetrain.  Sorry mods

Unless it's a full-blown race car, use Mazda Comp differential mounts for the rears. The Ronin brace uses factory replacement bushings.

For the front diff, Granas started making poly and rubber Explorer 8.8" mounts. Id personality go with rubber. Gear whine is obnoxious with solid mounts IMO.

There are a few manufacturers making solid delrin subframe mounts. I think I got mine on eBay several years ago, but they work fine and don't transmit much noise.

I've been seeing a lot of suggestions for the Mazda Comp but I can't seem to find them anywhere.  Are they discontinued and I just need to get lucky on eBay?

I think I bought mine from Atkins or Mazdatrix. Both are reliable vendors for OE parts.

They're significantly cheaper from the mazda motorsports store if you do any sort of competitive driving with a mazda or are building the car for such.
