I'd certainly prefer FRP. I over the whole visual carbon thing now.

FRP won’t really impact the price, bare carbon cloth isn’t terribly expensive anymore. It’s the time to lay it up, trim, clear, clean up, package, ship etc that dictates the price. Still have to use resins, and FRP might need an extra layer to be as strong increasing the complexity.

I’ve had a few customers paint theirs, the recent white car built by Eccentric Motorsports is a great example of this. Just because it is a carbon part doesn’t mean you have to show the world. They look excellent painted, much easier to reverse compared to welding it up but with a similar effect.

Interesting, thanks for explaining your reasoning.I would say this part is a functional aerodynamic part, that is, the front inner fender liners in general it’s going to deflect some air from entering the front wheel wells. More rigidity is better so the part won’t flex at speed.

I honestly can't speak on the aerodynamics of it. Rob Dahm has a set he was going to use to see if he could decrease the pressure in the engine bay to help with overheating by drawing more air through the coolers. I don't know how that turned out, I don't think he's fitted them with everything else he has going on. There are so many choices for fenders and/or vents for the FD it's pretty much impossible for me to claim they do anything specific for aero.

But they do keep your engine bay cleaner by blocking road debris, tire rubber and dust, they do provide a ton more tire clearance than normal fender liners, and of course they look a lot better compared to the plastic liners and the mess of wiring, filler neck, relays etc in that area.

I have Kevlar and Carbon sets in stock, shipping them out in the next few days. Send me a message if you're after a set!

I can’t either, I just suspect the factory parts are doing something.

It’s probably gonna crack where he cut it. I wouldn’t do that.

I have actually made a few vacuum formed sets. Need to make sure they are strong enough to survive a rock hit

My stock liners are long gone as I run the max size tire up front (295 or 315).  Do these still provide the necessary clearance to run those tires and track the car?
I don't recall where my tires burned thru the stock liners... but I trashed them many years ago.

If your tires clear the metal body, the carbon wheel covers will fit your tires.

I have honeycomb and 1x1 patterns in stock
