Where are you purchasing your wiring items from?
« on: August 28, 2023, 12:08:49 PM »
I want to move/consolidate all my main body harness relay/fuse boxes in my car.  I'd like to try to stay consistent with wiring colors/size/quality when doing so.  Where are all you wiring gurus purchasing this stuff from?

Or is everyone just using close enough wiring colors and maybe documenting it.

Connectors (OEM):  Mouser, Ballenger Motorsports, KSV Looms
Connectors (MilSpec, Deutsch, other fancy shit):  ProWire USA, KSV Looms
TXL Wiring:  WireBarn, OEM harnesses from eBay (sometimes OEM harnesses are takeoffs and CHEAP and I scavenge them for perfect matched wires)
MilSpec Wiring:  ProWire USA
Sheathing (split loom, generic heat shrink): eBay
Sheating (DR25, fancy shit):  ProWire USA

I've probably spent 10K across this collection of vendors on electrical stuff, no complaints.

cool  thanks.  I will take a look at those venders.   I'm sure a period correct Mazda harness from another car would have a lot of wire in the same colors too.  Might look at scavenging something opposed to buying a shit ton of different color wires.

I'll just parrot Balloque. I've used pretty much every one of those vendors.

That took me longer than it should have.

They misprinted my name as "Blade" at one of the tournaments (fun, because I do sword).   So my friends at tournaments either call be "Balloque" or "Blade". LOL
