Fiskar Karma's getting CHEAP
« on: August 17, 2023, 03:43:36 PM »
I mean $20K for this car seems to good to be true.  Very nice look, interior, could work for a high performance EV swap, or gut it all and go LT4 or some boosted LS and vette transaxle.

Lost track of them a few years ago (They were over 50k yet) and just was playing on cars.com looking at donors for a project I was thinking about and shocked to see them so cheap.  It would take some canbus hacking not sure how hard that would be in a 2012 car compared to today.

So thoughts on it?  Would anyone bite on one and if so what would you swap it with?

I think they look pretty good in person, though the front bumper/grill is certainly a love it or hate it thing with the mustache.

I can't imagine getting ANY part for it would be much fun though.

Love the 4 doors!  Only one I think looks good.  Maybe I just like how limited and unique they are.  Either way I don't need any more 2 door waste of space cars, for the next decade until I get my offspring out on their own LOL.

Apparently, I'm of the last generation that still believes that 4-door cars are stodgy sedans.
All the cool cars of my youth were ALWAYS 2 doors.  8) :D :bacon:

You aren’t alone. When the last time you saw a 4 door chevelle and said, that thing is awesome!

I like 2 door cars, but I have a kid and 4 doors are useful.

I prefer 2 door cars myself but having two kids that are almost always with me makes having a two seater completely useless.   I really need a fast fun 4 door/4 seater that I can enjoy!

If you have kids 4 doors is a must.  However I will say Wagons > Sedans.  The ultimate 4 door in my opinion is a Taycan Sport Turismo.  I would not be buying a super old EV like the Karma.

I think the Karma looks pretty cool.  I saw one in my neighborhood a while back.  They are pretty uncommon.  Would be super cool with an LS swap

I almost bought a Panamera a few years ago, my son is STILL annoyed I didn't, though he likes the Tesla more than my old 4 series.

The Taycan Sport Turismo is one of the best looking cars around, IMO, but I love shooting brakes, which that reminds me of.    The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato is my favorite car.  If I stumble into 100 million dollars sometime, I'll get one.  LOL

Owner of the company I work for has a really nice Panamera S, I wouldn't mind driving one. way more interesting than a Tesla.  Shooting brakes are awesome.

Don't worry, it sounds like something an obnoxious British man would say on Top Gear.
