Sorry for the radio silence! I started a project to remodel part of my shop and add a storage closet...which morphed into all new lighting, ceiling speakers, a large wash tub...yadda yadda.
Anyway I am still planning to make this happen and all of the feedback is helpful! I have some new designs that I haven't posted yet and I am still investigating the feasibility of making it work with Corvette accessories. As much as I like the black "off the shelf" reservoir and inboard reservoir location that I have shown in previous images, it doesn't allow for the best suction hose routing - see the big "U" shape hose. So in order to keep the design elegant and compact, and keep the cost down, I think I will be fabricating the reservoir as well (vented, and baffled) and putting it in the inboard location but feeding the pump with a line that runs
above the pump. I just need to see if I can satisfy all other requirements of hood clearance, reservoir capacity, cost, multiple offsets, etc. with this new design. Flipped DBW throttle bodies won't be compatible but that doesn't sound like it will be an issue for many...plus I fundamentally object to flipped throttle bodies so ha!
As with all of my products, the primary goal for me is to fulfill my own needs, and then see if others are interested

. Since I own an FD and don't have access to an FC, or an FC pump/rack, I don't plan on going that route.
I was planning to at least include the pressure hose as an optional add-on. But again, it would only be guaranteed to fit the FD so if someone wanted to use the FD pump on their FC, they would also need to be the guinea pig to test the line fitment. In reality though the hardest part about making your own lines is finding the correct fittings, so step 1 for me will be doing some research to see if I can find out if the same banjo fitting will work on the FC rack as the FD.
