Holley EFI tuning
« on: August 31, 2020, 11:02:58 PM »
Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since I have been around here, mostly due to the fact that I have not owned a LS swapped RX7 for about 10 years. I might be an OG, having built my first FC back in the stone age of 2003. Back then we were all hanging out on Torque Central...

In any case, with Blake's blessing, I would like everyone to know that if anyone is interested in remote Holley EFI tuning, to please get in touch. I do Holley tuning full time and have done many HP, Dominator and Terminator X system, on LS and a variety of other engines.

You can send me a message here, or find me on Instagram or Facebook: projectgattago

Thanks!

Just wanted to leave some kudos for Andrew here.    For a lot of you that don't know, he goes WAY back around here and he's a good dude.   He's got some pretty cool cars as well.     He knows his stuff on the Holley gear for sure, and he can hold his own on a discussion of CAN bus communication, which is either good or scary, hah!

Thanks Blake. I know just enough about CAN to be dangerous. I actually wish that Holley would publish their CAN protocol. I have mentioned this to the powers at be at Holley, but it seems to fall on deaf ears.

if they publish it they wont be able to make $$ on the displays / dashes as you can do a pi dash for pennies then.

"pennies?" as in less than one dollar...LOL

I get your point, but the Holley dashes do a lot more than display data.

Andrew

my brother in law is running a pi dash with his mega-squirt car and its all in one: data logging, dash, and he can flip over to tuner studio at any time. If I was Holley I'd be doing the same (not publishing the protocol) to capitalize on the dash sales. I have seen some people on LS1 tech starting to do this with the Holleys by way of an old Microsoft surface tablet.

Those protocols are rarely encrypted. If one was so inclined it could be reverse engineered. Haltech is in the same boat.

I have a buddy with a Holley.   Maybe I’ll borrow it and hack the CAN this winter.
