1993 LS6 T56 FD RX7
« on: August 13, 2020, 11:06:08 PM »
Time to sell ... 1993 LS6 T56 FD RX7 ... $15,000 obo.

not sure how to rate the condition....
so will try to give details of all the good and bad.

about 120k miles on both the car and motor
100k each before the swap
20k after the swap

Was driven daily for several years.
After having my 2nd kid , I had to get an adult car ,
so the FD sat in backyard for 5 years waiting for love =(
While sitting , it was started up once a month
In that time a few gas hoses were replaced
And now it has the ethanol free gas (supposedly easier on the gas lines)

--------------------

The Good...

LS6 intake
Texas Speed  Heads Stage 1 LS6
Texas Speed Cam 220R
Hinson Subframe
Hinson driveshaft
Hinson Headers and Y pipe
Texas Speed ported oil pump
Double roller timing set
LS7 Lifter Kit

Stoptech slotted rotors
Apex N1 Damper Adjustable Coilovers
Enkei Wheels
235/40 18 Front
285/40 18 Rear

aftermarket clutch (I don’t recall the brand)

Aluminum Door Sills

--------------------

The Neutral…

Custom sheet metal interior
(I like it better than stock , but many probably don’t)

--------------------

The Bad…

Paint, needs paint badly

It has the issue with slave cylinder where it gets dirty very quickly
I put the quick flush parts on it and flushed it everytime I did the oil.
I would suggest replacing the slave cylinder.

Evo-R headlights didn’t age well (see pic)
Needs new headlight covers or really a whole new headlight kit

Mouse got into the car a couple months ago and
Chewed mostly the radio wire (but got a couple other wires)
(he is no longer with us... RIP)
So the radio is removed but wiring is there for speakers and sub
Right Window does not work (probably mouse’s doing)
The Oil Pressure Gauge is not working (probably mouse’s doing)

The Fuel Level Gauge works , but flakey
(not mouse’s fault , it was always flakey)

Small rust spot on passenger side door , a little bigger than a quarter (see pic)

Custom Radiator support is rusted , will need to be replaced

Computer needs to be mounted properly
(currently its secured in place with zip ties)

--------------------

Currently…

The car starts (from cold it usually starts on the 2nd crank)
I hold it at 1500rpm for about 1 minute then I can let it idle.
Otherwise it will stall.

--------------------

Extras… (parts I have that were waiting to be put on car)

Aftermarket front bumper  (will try to find the brand and/or post pics)
Carbon fiber side skirts
Carbon fiber piece that goes behind the rear wheel,

I also have the little stand alone computer that you plug into the ODB2 and can do some limited tuning.

--------------------

Other…

Bushings replace about 7 years ago
So they only have about 2 years of wear

--------------------

Will add other things as I recall what I have done.
