Earls Ultra Pro Hose ends are compatible with BMRS hose
« on: December 04, 2019, 07:12:51 AM »
just an FYI,  I had a hunch and tried it, successfully assembled and will be testing soon.  I really like the convoluted PTFE hose, and am going to try and use it for all of my AN lines

My eyes begin to well up every time I think about what the million miles of -12AN and -16AN BMRS dry sump hose assemblies are going to cost me.

I'm going to redo my fuel lines in the trunk with ethanol compatible stuff and will probably use that.   I'm not excited about buying or assembling them...

The nylon is pretty easy, but yes stainless sucks

Look on ebay, I found another length of hose that would work for my fuel setup for $50, I got my other one from the autofair for $15 or so

I need to have their vacuum rated and crimped stuff for my setup anyways, so I'm screwed either way!  Probably going to just bring them my car, give them my credit card, and ask them to just charge it without telling me a final price.

I didn't know that!  I definitely want them doing the measuring and layout, because it's really hard to eyeball what I need not knowing exactly how tight I can go on some of the bend radii, etc.  And on the crimped stuff, they usually use one fixed end and one swivel to reduce likelihood for leaks.  I'm not too far from them, though, so I'll probably just winch it up on the trailer and bring it to them when the time comes.

Cool!  I know they will do it in their shop too and work with you on the routing.  Really nice company, I have met the owner a few times.

That's good to know!  I always worry about being a little fish in a big pond with some of these companies that cater to the NASCAR and NHRA pro guys.  Some are genuinely good to work with, some don't want to give you the time of day unless you've got a 7 figure operation going.

If I remember correctly, they will work with anyone, I remember the guy doing the hoses for us at Robby's was telling us about working on guys cars they were building in their garage
