79 Mazda RX7 SA with turbo 302

1979 Mazda RX7 SA with turbo V8 swap

Other than some rust in the front driver’s wheel well, the car is solid for its age. The intent was to build a fun street / “Hoonigan” / drift / drag car. I simply enjoy building cars and it’s time to let this one go. The car consists of the following modifications and parts:

Engine
•   NEW Granny’s SBF and T5 swap kit
•   Low mileage Ford 5.0L / 302 roller motor pulled from a late 90s Explorer
•   GT40 3 bar heads
•   NEW CSU Blow Thru E85 carburetor
•   Edelbrock Victor Jr intake manifold
•   NEW Alex's Parts valve springs
•   NEW Elgin E1018P camshaft
•   NEW FireCore50 spark plug wires
•   NEW NGK BR7EFS spark plugs
•   Fox body oil pan and pick up tube
•   NEW 3 row aluminum radiator
•   NEW 180* T stat
•   Volvo fan, relay, and BMW temp controller
•   NEW 10AN catch can setup
•   NEW starter

Drivetrain
•   World Class T5 transmission
•   NEW T5 Steel bearing retainer
•   NEW bell housing plate
•   NEW clutch fork
•   B&M shifter
•   NEW performance clutch
•   NEW pilot and throw out bearing
•   NEW Wilwood clutch master cylinder
•   NEW Wilwood slave cylinder
•   NEW custom aluminum driveshaft with Spicer joints 
•   Shortened Explorer 8.8 rear with 31 spline axles, disk brakes, and 3.73 LSD
-   NEW axle seals
-   NEW parking brake shoes and hardware

Turbo
•   2.25” Hotside
•   4” Fender exit
•   Spectre carb hat
•   NEW BBK shorty headers modified and TIG welded to fit with v band connections
•   NEW VS Racing “S366” turbo
•   Twin VSR 44mm wastegates 
•   VSR 50mm blow off valve
•   NEW billet vacuum block

Ignition & Fuel
•   MSD 6530 ignition box
•   MSD 2 BAR MAP sensor
•   MSD HVC-2 coil
•   NEW 10 gallon aluminum fuel cell
•   AN fittings and lines throughout
•   NEW 380 LPH fuel pump
•   NEW 8AN 40 micron fuel filter
•   NEW 8AN 100 micron fuel filter
•   NEW Aeromotive boost referenced FPR

Suspension, Brakes, Wheels, & Tires
•   NEW Ground Control front coilover conversion with 300# springs
•   NEW Moog K9369 idler arm
•   NEW Mazda 8871-49-101 steering column bushing
•   “PB&J” rear suspension modification
•   NEW KYB shocks and struts
•   NEW master cylinder
•   Manual brake conversion 
•   NEW brake lines
•   NEW brake pads all around
•   (2) NEW 15x7 Rota RB wheels up front
•   (2) 15x8 rear wheels
•   (4) NEW Achilles ATR Sport 2 195/55R-15 tires 

Miscellaneous
•   NEW Jegs racing seats
•   Fresh gaskets throughout
•   Gauges
-   Powerdex AFX wideband with new sensor
-   Vacuum/boost
-   Tachometer
-   Voltmeter
-   Oil pressure   
-   Fuel pressure

Comes with custom TIG welded steering knuckles modified to increase steering angle as well as a new pair of Ground Control 200# rear springs.

$6,900. Clean title in hand. No joy rides and no trades. Located in Columbus, OH.
