I just got the set for the latest build on 94 FD. Fit is really great and truly better than the dozens of sets of sandersons Ive installed. One area on drivers side floorpan will need a little massage just to have some airspace but otherwise there is plenty of clearance everywhere.
great job!

Thanks Charlie, glad you like them.  We let it get close in that location in the name of ground clearance.  The 1 7/8" bundle of tubes is a pretty healthy size and the driver's side is obviously tighter since no exhaust was originally intended to run there.

Received and installed my headers last week. I have a Samberg engine/trans mount and t56. I was replacing stainless works headers. Quality of the headers was excellent and fitment was good too. The headers ended up having contact with the steering shaft which required me to grind off a small portion, but otherwise no issues. Oil filter/Starter were off to remove the stainless works headers so I'm not sure if they need to be removed to install these.

For what it's worth, I re-used a previous exhaust as a temporary solution until I can make something nicer. That exhaust section was for a JTR 1 3/4 header setup and required minimal modification to make work with these headers.

A couple of questions...

1) Has anyone dyno'd these yet?  Just curious if they perform about as expected...

2) I have an LS1 out of a 2004 GTO, with the OEM GTO exhaust manifolds.  The exhaust fits perfect (dual resonators, dual mufflers, somebody did solid fab work).  I'm guessing the Ronin headers end at a point that's different than the GTO manifolds?  I really, really prefer (in the laziest way possible) to drop some LT headers in without having to change the rest of the exhaust.

There is probably a 2ft difference between any stock manifold and any LT worth anything. You WILL need to modify your exhaust. If you're lucky, only a couple cuts to remove what you don't need.

They're probably worth 20-40hp depending on application. You won't find many if any comparisons for an RX7 specific header. Most folks just go straight to the long tubes.

If you want numbers, check out ls1tech. It'll give you a good ballpark for ls1 header gains.

Has anyone fitted these headers on an FC yet? I’m interested in seeing the routing.

Under. I have to remove the oil filter but I'm still using a samberg frame. Needs to be pretty high off the ground.

About to install my ronin headers. I wrapped them, just waiting for the high temp silicone spray to show up to finish the job off.  It turned out good but not perfect.

Installed…. Only issue I have with the headers is that they sit low, they are now the lowest point of the car.

I really hope this doesn’t turn into an issue.  I never learn, need to leave things alone.  [emoji2359]

The only solution for this, is the engine has to go up 1” and I need a new hood…. A hood that’s done right, imo a lot of the hoods out there suck in the fitment department.

Thought the exact same thing, why don’t I just leave things alone. I was disappointed at how low, especially since there seems to be plenty of room to tuck up. Will be interesting to see how bad they will be on street.
