Ordered a set! Trying to figure out which gaskets you get though.

Just a heads up, all orders to date should be shipping out today.

In looking at exhaust gasket options we haven't found anything that's clearly a better value than the Mahle one's Ash listed:

    MAHLE Original MS16124 Gasket https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CLIJBE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_eyrxEb5HRHMS4

We're in discussions with them to purchase in bulk and we verified they use a 1.8" port size which will work great with our headers.

Have you raised the roof at all from your earlier test headers? I have a set from Brandon in OK(wanted sikky) and with my LS7 heads the roof has just a touch of overhang. The bottom and sides are perfect.

I can grind the flange a hair was just curious.

The roof?  Sorry I'm not familiar with that terminology.

Update: Got everything packed but they'll actually ship tomorrow.

The roof refers to the top of the port.   Raising the port roof gives a straighter shot into/out of the port.

Interesting.  We have the bores dead symmetric with the hole pattern such that the flanges are reversible.  Didn't realize GM would be doing something weird with their ports on the head side.

I believe it's unique to the ls7 style head. They use a D shaped port.

LS1, 2, 3, 6, & 9 LSA are all the same.

The bottom and sides are perfect. Honestly, with a stock port it's not terrible for the LS7 but a ported head may be a bigger issue. It's maybe 2-3mm where the header hangs down. The bottom has nearly 1cm to spare. Sides are flush.

You can probably take care of a couple mm with a die grinder, but beware, the slivers from a carbide cutting steel are extremely sharp.   Be sure to use full face protection in addition to eye protection.  You'll still be picking them out of any exposed skin, and throw out your gloves afterwards.  Lol

Any step from port to header should be bigger on the header side.   A slight ledge there can actually help reduce reversion.

Ya, it's not the base I'm at all concerned about. I probably could remove some of the top.

My headers showed up today!  Finger's crossed on fit for the RX8, but steering shaft clearance looks troublesome.

Would getting a steel bellhousing like this give more clearance to do 2 inch primaries?
