Asking 33k obo as is, located in Santa Cruz area.

Car is pretty clean, clean title 165k

99 front end (has a chip :( )

Engine is stock 1jzgte vvti

Transmission is tr6060 from 2012 camaro ss

Ronin ford 8.8 rear end with 4.56 gears and truetrac LSD. Subframe all powder coated and aluminum vapor blasted. New wheel bearings
Twin Scroll T4 manifold, custom made high quality.

EFR 7670 turbo, under 10k miles perfect.

Car has working everything, COLD AC, power steering, ABS, Cruise control etc all works

Aluminum CV joint driveshaft!

MOTEC m130 GPR race version! All features you could want in an ECU!

SPAL fans with custom shroud and radiator etc PWM fan control

Ohlins DFV

Nicely redone seats

Nice paint and body

Flex fuel tuned. About 500hp on pump and closer to 750-800 on e85! It's MEAN on e85 and will try and kill you if you have traction control off!

Last dyno it did 580whp on 50% ethanol with the old lq9 ignition coils. With the new motec coils it has no ignition issues and would probably put over 650whp down on e85!

Weighted 2998lbs WET with a spare and tools, small sub and 1/2 of gas. 51/49

issues:

Needs a headlamp bulb or ballast on one side. have to try a few times to get it to stay on (projector HIDS)

Cruise control acting a bit weird lately after change to m130 ECU. I think the signal to the cruise control computer needs some filtering. I was going to switch it to drive by wire and run cruise through motec in the future anyway

Radiator support and some other parts were custom and made by me about 7 years ago when I wasn't as good of a fabricator. Mig welds etc. Works fine but some might want to redo some of that stuff

Text is best. PM for more pictures or info. I'm looking into buying a new cayman, I just don't have the time to work on it and keep it up like I used too.

That's a very nice looking car. 8)
If mine had been silver to start with, I wouldn't be thinking of repainting it.

I agree, that's a really good price for what seems like a pretty well-sorted and complete car.

I agree with the others that this is a good car and build.  GLWS

Looks pretty clean overall.  What subframe are you using?  For some reason I remember seeing that it might be a modded Samberg frame... Nice that you can retain the stock hood.

Not trying to talk you out of a P car but I had a 911 Turbo and I was afraid to drive it hard just because I knew a $$ bill might be right around the corner.  Stout car though, and it was enjoyable when I did drive it.

No way.  Drive a 996 turbo to redline every time you drive it. It’s wants it, it welcomes it. Mezger engine will take mass abuse.  You sure you don’t have your comparison confused with a stock FD? :)

Still for sale :)

What's the smog legality of the swap?  How much of a PITA is smogging it?  PM is fine if you don't want to publicly post.

If you have to ask this may not be the car for you.  :gruffy:

Did the price change or was it always $28k?

Offline Sketch_hs

I was asking less a couple years ago when it was a lot less sorted out.
