New Holley "Mid-Mount" drive kit + Turbo Manifold
« on: December 11, 2017, 09:10:38 AM »
Have you all seen this?

https://www.holley.com/products/ls_power/ls_and_lt_accessory_drives/complete_accessory_kits/parts/20-185

Saw it at PRI last weekend and it's a pretty slick setup, VERY tight to the engine and could probably work well with some turbo setups also.   Considering it's all new parts and complete, the pricing really isn't bad either.

They also had this:

https://www.holley.com/products/ls_power/ls_exhaust/ls_exhaust_manifolds/parts/8510HKR

Which was probably my favorite new LS thing there.    Built in high flow log style crossover manifold for turbo setups.    Pretty freaking slick and it should fit an FC/FD pretty easily.

Awesome to see someone like Holley embracing the turbo game like this. Great stuff.

That manifold is awesome.  I like how it goes around back and frees up more space up front.  With all the holley front drive stuff plus the manifold that has to be record for compact physical space and power output?  Its like a 2.5 cubic feet making 1K+hp.

They have an improved version of the Sniper EFI intake that's pretty nice too.   The old ones were 'looks cool' but not very useful for big power or anything, the new ones look pretty stout.   I'm pretty impressed with the stuff that Holley and Edelbrock had, in particular.    Not much Coyote goodies though, sad for me.  LOL

Gunny, under the transmission.

I didn't see Blasphemi.   If it was there I missed it somehow.

Ah, OK. I didn't think there would be good enough ground clearance on an FD for that. Only reason I asked.

If there is sufficient ground clearance, that's an amazing setup for these cars. If I go turbo I'll likely get both of these. Wish I could do it now!

I think there's ground clearance for the crossover but then no space for the downpipe. Maybe through the fender then?

Maybe room ahead of crossover though, but it'll be a close thing. I'm intrigued now [emoji41]

Where in the heck are you going to fit a crossover under the trans? Scrape city.

Scrape city indeed. Need to get it back on a lift to see if any option exists. I'm not planning on a turbo so this is idle speculation for me.
