That's awesome. I was out on the dunes on Friday in a rental side by side. They are fun when you aren't sure if you will make it over them or have to back down.
LOL. This reminds me of my first time riding dunes. It was a few years ago at Pismo Beach.
We rented Honda 400EX ATV's and spent the day trying not to kill ourselves. LOL
The first big hill I climbed was probably 80-100 feet high.
We stationed one guy at the top to make sure no-one started down, and I made a run at it in third gear.
I wanted to make sure I made it all the way, so I stayed on it until the thought hit me, about 10' from the top, that I certainly had plenty of momentum.
That was an understatement
The guy up top said when I went over him I was at least 10 feet high. Keep in mind I'm a 50 year old guy with a lot more belly than I'd like.
I remember thinking if I messed the landing up that this was gonna hurt.
I tapped the rear brake to bring the front end down, then blipped the throttle just as I landed, and made an amazingly smooth landing.

I've ridden out there twice, and though I'm not really an off-road guy, the sand is a real blast.
