Join the smug side and go BMW. Plenty of support if you wanted to swap it. And they look sexy.
BTW, your comment about the kids and safety heavily swayed my decision to stick with the e46. That and the head bolt threads shitting the bed before selling it to my brother.
They look so sexy, even my wife likes them.
Dude, right? When I got the truck Henry was...4 months old? So I didn't really think about how safe the thing would be, I just knew it looked cool and could haul shit if I wanted to.
BMW - The e39s still look good

Swagon's wagon is so damn cool, I think he sold it last year?
All the Joji Nagashima cars still look good. I parted out a wrecked E36 before, and compared to my FD, I seem to remember it using a heavier gauge of sheet metal on the exterior panels and stuff. Not unlike old Volvos.
PS: How did you expect a '69 C10 to do in a crash?
TIL who designed the BMW cars was a Tokyo born man living in Germany. They look so good.
Haha, didn't cross my mind until I got to thinking about taking Henry with me on a road trip, then once the 2nd one was coming along I really REALLY started doubting the viability of the truck as a fun car. Oh, and there's the entire "it doesn't even fit in my garage' thing.

Although big and heavy, I feel like it will have the same issue as the truck...in an accident it won't hold up as well as a late 90's BMW.
Well you can put in "cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks"....
Only if I drive at night with sunglasses on while I'm on a mission from God.
