*SOLD* LS3 8.8 A/C 95 RX-7 -low mileage-
« on: November 10, 2016, 08:21:32 PM »
Sold

I never thought I would see this day but I have been thinking about it for a while and decided to pull the trigger and go back to school, sadly that means my car has to go. I have done two novice track days with the car that I would consider more of spirited legal driving at my skill level but none the less the car did not have any issues. I have ran best of 11.1 @ 127, on cooler nights I have trapped 132 with it at 11.5 on et streets on stock rims. A better driver can probably get it into the tens. All factory gauges are in working order(speedo, tach, oil, water, fuel). I feel the car is easily worth 30k probably more if I polished up on the minor things listed, You definitely cannot build this car for this much especially on a low mileage 95.

I will ad a startup video/walk around and outside pics later today.

Chassis: 95 RX7 36k miles painted about 3 years ago
Body: 99 spec front bumper/lights, shine feed skirts, low pro rear spoiler lip, re style street diffuser all in carbon fiber.
Mounting equipment: samberg engine, trans, 8.8 subframe.
Suspension: Koni Yellows w/ Eibach springs, Rb front sway bar(have rear but not installed)
Brakes: Stoptech front bbk
Rollbar: RPM Chromoly 6 point bolt in rollbar, removable door bars, powder coated red.
Wheels: RPF1's 18x9.5 + 45 all around
Wheel wells: rear quarter panels were rolled and modestly pulled before paint(I can run a 22mm spacer in the rear and it clears fine, so a wider wheel can be ran.)

Engine: Ls3 pullout(had 48 miles) now around 8k
Engine harness: gm performance ls3 controller kit
Engine mods: Cam/springs/retainers/pushrods, ported 90mm dbw throttle body.
Exhaust: jtr 1 7/8 longtubes, custom 3" y pipe to RB dual tip.
Tuned at Wongs Performance made 455 rwhp
A/C: halfspec ac lines and wire kit.
No power steering(never wanted it but could ad)
RB Fuel pump

Trans: Gto t56 freshly built before swap, rated for 600 rwhp-purchased fron Mark(Gnx7) here on the forums
Rearend: cobra 31 spline 8.8 w/373 gears mounted with solid aluminum front bushings( a little noisy with these)
Axles: drive shaft shop porsche style inner/ chromoly axle/ stock outer(should hold 600 rwhp)
Clutch: Monster LT1 twin disc(1200 dollar clutch) Drives like stock

Known issues, The car is in great condition but it does have a few minor things:

ABS light on(never bothered to look into)

Front bumper, you dont really notice but someone in a parking lot backed into my car, no impact as I honked the horn but her muffler tip poked my bumper.

small chip in paint on passenger side quarter panel, has been touched up.

rear bumper has some spidering, I am honestly not sure how this happened but I noticed it one day washing my car.

Hood gap: with the ls3 intake being further forward I have found it difficult to get the hood clearance so there is a noticeable gap to the bumper.

I can possibly have the paint stuff fixed depending on time etc.

It is awesome, drives like a stock clutch. I dont feel I am really using it to its full potential, I bought it for the future if I decided to make more power/go FI but that didnt happen.

Someone buy this asap. This would have been my perfect car (after ac and ps) if I wasn't going a different direction.

I literally bought a car this morning and got a pm with this car this afternoon. Such is life!

GLWS! It's gorgeous!

Pretty sure this has AC as the add says it does (but does not have PS) and the build thread does.
I'm guessing these are old pictures as I do not see AC components? You can't build this car for Anywhere near 30k that I know. What a great car.
Hope someone close to home gets this one.

Nice! I just put one in with a t56 magnum but haven't gotten it back driving yet. The pedal is way lighter than my old monster stage 2. I have similar power as you and really just wanted to modernize he drivetrain. I will never really add power from where I'm at, but may beat on it harder now that my clutch, diff, and trans can take it.

Nice car and similar spec to one we built in the UK.

Do you remember where the top rad hose came from, it is much neater than extending the one provided with the rad kit?
