Need a favor regarding Steering Column

Can someone do me a favor?  I need to know where the steering column crosses through the firewall.  Need some measurements from either side (engine side or cabin), it doesnt matter. LHD preferably. Thanks in advance.

what measurements do you need? i might be able to take some from the cabin

It's about 31" tip to tip. Protrudes into bay by about 3".

I need a measurement where to drill the actual hole for the steering column in the firewall.

Ah ok. Is this a RHD car? FD?

Yup.  FD.  Was a Rhd car but I bought the shell off someone with the intention of going lhd.  Previous owner had welded the whole firewall closed so that's why I'm trying to figure out where to drill.
