I like it!!!! That FC hauls :)

How do you like your cobra?? I am seriously considering building a Factory 5 cobra replica(LS3 swapped hehehehehe) in 5 years with my son. I am gonna use the FC $$$ (if anyone buys it) as the starter funds for the project.

I have heard both good and bad about the Cobra chassis & would love feedback.

Lots of the new replica's are sold as "rollers". Complete . just add your engine an trans.  But of course the price goes way up to !  I had an original 427 back in the mid 70s so I wanted a Shelby one.  Bought it used a year ago. Blast to drive but as in most cases they are death traps ! . Dead serious. Nothing there to protect ya in a crash. My beater Mazda is 10 times better ! Do ya homework. I'd buy used to save $$$$$. As usual they are money pits !!! Fun cars !  Prob keeping mine a few more years . unless something else catches my attention. Good luck

Yesterday was the last track day for me for now. Have some suspension work to do. Car lifts the left wheel about 8"s while the other side is o the ground. Did feel a lot better than last week. This was 6/7# launch. would like to eventually come out at least 9/10#s. Car weighs in at 3324#s. Have a vid of the 10.17. Not very good taping from the wife. Ill try an figure out how to post it. The 9.99 run she wasn't ready !!  ::) Daughter ran her GN best 1/8 @ 6 .11. I thought I did good with a 1.513 60'.  She ran a 1.39.  :banghead: Oh her car weighs in @ 3770 !!!

Have a pic of the car just before it left. Notice how the left side is rising. Came up a lot(tire 8"s off the ground) with the right side staying on the ground.. All stock stuff up front.  Mustang rear suspension. Need some input. Oh stock Mustang rear sway bar.

Ya it was a rush after being away from racing at the drags.  Doin a sway bar set up this winter. Problem is is that it's tight under there with a dual 3" exhaust. BUT we will square it away somehow.  Maybe drop it buy YOUR place an do some fancy custom work on it  :D

Ok drag racing season has finally come !! Saturday I got the car SFI certified for 8.5s. NO its not goin that !! Shootin for 9.8s or high 9.7s HOPEFULLY.. We all know how that goes. Have to see how the car handles now. Got a new Quarter-Max Chassis rear sway bar. Tucked up over the rear so ya don't see anything. M&H Drag radials are all backordered  :( Hopefully be at the track a week from wed. Pray for no rain !
