Seriously, if I had not done the Mustang, my alternate choice was going to be a 540 touring (wagon) with a ~76mm turbo on an LS with a T56.    Rollin' in style.

I hope it to look like this someday minus the Facelift. Bumper and wheels with painted trim. What's not to like about this??.....

I had those same AC Schnitzer wheels on my 3 series.   Loved those things.

I have an engine. I have ordered a module that takes the ls ecu instrument outputs and converts them to bmw canbus signals. Still looking for a 4l80e core. Parts are coming slowly but at least things are happening.

I already sold the 6.0 that was attached to it to someone that went to MNSU. Let me know, i probably wont do anything with it. The Rx7 has a t56 already.

Which module did you get?  I could see how that would simplify things a lot.  I had no idea e46's were getting so cheap!  Nice find... I'll keep an eye on this one.

There is a fella named Thaniel on the Bimmerforums that makes them. He has some really nice write ups on his process.
