No real work done yet. I picked up a 4l80e and I have a line on a lc9 with forged pistons. I'm thinking I may go with the ls9 cam. So, still gathering parts before I go gung ho.

Small update.

Got a sbe 160k L33 instead of the LC9. I also bought a 3.55 Explorer Diff and axles. Parts!

Yay parts!    This should be pretty neat.   I would start one of things if the wife wouldn't kill me in my sleep.

I picked up this billet s476 from Apex. I also picked up a single disc billet converter from Jake's performance. And RX-V8 has my 4l80e at his place in which he will be tearing into soon.

I need to finish up a simple LS swap in a friends 71 C20 p/u then I can start tearing into this BMW.

C/20 is taken care of...

Now I need to start this project before I shrivel up and die.

I was having some thoughts as of what this car is going to be doing and my ultimate power goals. The car will be driven a lot.... like a lot a lot, so naturally, reliability is high on the list. Well, with the struggle triangle ringing truth over all projects (cheap, fast, reliable; pick two) I've decided to lower my HP goals from 8-900 to 6-700. I can use Deka 80s to obtain this goal and the L33 will be less likely to put up a fuss as well as the rest of the drivetrain.

So, this billet S476. I don't NEED this much turbo. I'm on the fence about selling and getting a 78/75. The 78/75 will also be easier to package in this tiny engine bay. But its a cheaper turbo, in all ways. And the billet S476 with 1.10 housing should spool fine and make my HP goals with out even breaking a sweat. The 78/75 would have to work a little harder.

Thoughts?

If it was a stick I'd say get the 7875.  Since it's an auto, run the big guy, it'll spool fine and you've already got it.  :)

I think too much...

But yes, I agree I should just keep this S476. It would add overall value to the car as well.

If you think you have enough torque to run the bigger turbo and not have a bunch of lag Id say just keep it.  Sounds like it is nicer quality
