Anyone know if bottom mount seats use any kind of common fore/aft spacing?  It would be a bit harder to get the fine tuning increments that this has but we can look into it.

Oh and the slots are wide enough that you can fit a 17" seat on the wide side (IE Cobra's GT seats) and still have a touch left for fine tuning your left/right spacing in the car.  16" width just happens to put these about centered...

17" seat eh?

That's good news for us that eat desert. The Recaro Pole Position is 16 15/16th wide at the mounting points. That's a seat I've always wanted to fit in an FD. Although it might be tight on the door. I might be willing to test that with these mounts.
Look forward to the pricing.. Oh and Black powdercoat is good for me.

Looks great! Very similar design to the Atomic Rex mounts I use to fit a Recaro Pole Position into my FD (and they said it couldnt be done!). I did have to shave down the wing to prevent it from hitting the door. FYI the stock seat still sits lower (ie you have more head room for a helmet) even with the Pole Position pushed into the floor.

Damn guys...  Things have been a bit nuts personally, so I apologize.  I'm the bottleneck on this one.

We do need to get another cutting order going in relatively short order so I'll make the tweaks I want and get a proper batch made.  Thanks for the reminder that you still want these.

In better news, we have some pretty exciting info on another of our R&D projects that we'll be announcing in couple days.   :secret:

Hint: not related to seat mounts at all, just something we've had in work for far too long.   :yay:

Oh, and I finished all the updates to the seat mounts last night too.  We'll have a pretty healthy batch going out for cutting shortly.  Need to confirm cost to cut then we'll be posting up pricing.

New seat bracket's finished.  We need to purchase the appropriate hardware but should be able to start shipping these in next week.    :yay:

Even though we made a great many subtle tweaks based on the prototype set, we're still going to send this batch out in a bare/tumbled finish so you can trim if needed.

Biggest change was that we're now using double holes on the front to give you 2x the angular resolution in picking your seat angle.  Each upright is now a bit narrower with an arcing profile as well.  Side interfaces were dropped to 3/16" to align to FIA specs and save a bit of weight.  Bases are a bit thicker to keep the assembly nice and stiff.

The overall spacing should work well for any 16-17" class seats using the common 286 or 290 mm side bolt spacing (Sparco, Recaro, Cobra etc).  Please confirm your own seat dimensions, as these can vary.  We also simplified the side pattern a bit to keep the look clean and tidy.

We'll get pricing posted up shortly.  Need to confirm with my cohorts.
