fs/ft: 1993 rx7 perfect VR ls swap 6speed
« on: March 08, 2016, 09:26:29 AM »
Year: 1993
Make: Mazda
Model: RX-7
Price: $35000
Mileage: 1
Color: red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): IL
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
Cost: 35,000
location: Normal, Illinois (about 2 hours south of Chicago)

Every car has a price that might seem crazy to some and rational to others. I have noticed a bunch of ls1 cars selling for 25k or less but they also didn't have the aftermarket parts this car has. that being said, I hope to find a person who appreciates the add-ons that have taken many years to acquire. But I also understand the price is high and the parts are not for everyone. so, I can part off pieces to make the price lower if these pieces are not your style. I mean come on, who really needs $500 lug nuts..

I bought the finished swap 7 years ago from a guy who has built many of these v8 conversions. never have I had any major/minor problems.
swap came with:
2002 ls1 from a ws6 with 40k miles
t56 6speed, pro 5.0 shifter
hinson conversion kit
has ps, air conditioning
red top battery in pass bin
wire tucked
stock wheels
koni yellows on ground controls

since the purchase I have added parts.

volk Te37sl 9.5/10.5
front and rears rolled and a very slight pull(you can only put the thickness of 1 credit card in the space in the rear between the tire and body at full compression. 2 credit cards get held in place)
volk formula lugnuts
stance pro coilover
improved racing strut brace w/brake
99 spec lip
99 spec plateless bumper
antenna hole closed
removed mirrors and welded holes
craftsquare mirrors w/blue tint carbon fiber(triangles painted black)
alpine mp3 style head unit
alpine tune-brain/crossover
hybrid audio speakers in custom mounting in doors
jl audio sub
alpine amp
viper alarm, all the add ons. also with gps tracking unit(car pages you with info)
all new glass
car painted by Bodyshop (about 15k in receipts for paint work)
carbon fiber shine street diffuser
carbon fiber shine feed sides
defi water temp molded into stock location
defi oil pressure molded into stock location
all gauges shine white (amber removed)
plastics are textured
brighter head lights(forgot the name)
race shop roll bar set into a different location further back. cut into bins. I have another complete set of bins that will go along with if you want to go to stock.
worksbell hub
nrg quick release and lock
nardi suede 330mm deep corn steering wheel
car cover
Im sure I am forgetting a bunch more...

I recently switched out the original radiator and condenser to an upgraded Samburg performace v2. it has an over the rad k&n filter. all the ac lines are hooked back up to the condenser but I never filled the air again. I can have that done at a local shop before sale. so the pictures will be with the old rad setup. sorry I cannot take new pics at this time since I dropped the car off to Bodyshop to respray the 99spec lip due to a little scrape underneath.

I have taken this car on long distance drives with no problems. this a well sorted car. twice Ive taken it from Chicago area to Nashville(500 mi). air conditioning on and tunes jammin. I would not hesitate to take this cross country. odometer in car says 130k-ish but that is inaccurate. the speedo box(dakota digital) was reading way high for years adding extra miles to the speedo. it would peg the speedo to full out while it was parked. I would guess the body has around 100k and motor 50k. this car was mainly a show car that I took to work only on nice days.

I am interested in trades also

Thanks for looking

now has samberg rad setup

I have been repainting my engine bay and general cleaning up of wiring and b/c i have not had my toy to drive drifted over here from 7 club.
Would love to see a video.....no otoh it would tempt me too much :)

Looks like a well sorted car. It takes a lot of money and time to get these cars perfect.  I hope you get close to your asking price. it's worth it.

evasive motorsports can order them for you.  they are craftsquare with the blue tint.  they have ones that go into the stock hole.  but since you asked for the exact, then you need to factor in the welding the stock hole, and paint matching panels.  all in all I paid just under $3,000 to change to those mirrors.
