:D :D :D :D I see you got me bro! I've already completed both of them! Now working on front end (radiators etc..)
Drift scene it's quite good for our stats. We don't have plenty of big tracks (for cars I mean) but it's ok for now even in the cart-tracks (not high level drift but it's better from nothing!). We try a lot to push levels in drift year by year.

Cool, my buddy is doing an LS swapped E36 BMW right now full cage and tube front end.  Can't wait to see this thing sideways.  Hopefully I can get my FB going this year too.

So spot weld ended and I got a multycoloure FC on my place  :D

Next step was to design a fully custom (as always  :D ) roll cage which will be welded in car. My expectations was to create a serious cage according to competition rules we've got in Greek Championship but always have in my mind best projects around the world.
Proper builds needs proper machines so I designed and build an industrial hydraulic tube bender. I did that to create perfectly bended corners without deforming or shrinking the tubes.

....and from Cad to reallity

And it was about time to start AutoCad staff again and keep working on it...

Measurements... measurements aaaaaand measurements once more...! >:(
Blueprints are nice but things get serious when they've got to be real.. and that really excites me..

Wow, I like your style.   Building your own tubing bender is pretty slick.  :D

nice bender, have you ever used solidworks before?  It's pretty cool to draw in 3D

It's looking like I'll have to go custom for hood vents. I've got a free non turbo hood to cut up but the custom vents are pricy. The dmax hood is close but I need more measurements. The 3 trouble areas are the intercooler pipes and the cam cover. Wish I had your fabrication skills.

Thanks bro!

I use 3D in autoCad too.. I see you like it so speaking of this, let's take a break from FC's build. Here are some photos from wheel spacers/adapters that I made for my brothers 350Z from raw aluminium to completed product (interesting work if you consider that it was my first attempt!)  :)

Design..

raw metal cut and lathe preparation..

lathe machining..

measurements..

lathe work completed

place the new studs...

and the product is ready!

and the whole process

and that's how my brother's Z suits the titanium lip Rays Perfectly!  :)

Bro I wish I had that hood without OEM air duct, because now that I'm doing the hood I made triple work (cut, add, build....)!
Why the pipes are problem? Are they so high? Couldn't you make them lower? That would solve you 2 of three problems so not to make vents (or cuts) everywhere. I would advise you to buy an Uras universal vent, make your measurements with calm and place it like a boss! You don't have to worry about it, you will make it, I'm sure!    ;)
Nice build by the way!  ;)

Turbo side can't be moved any lower, intake side is a possibility though. The uras vent isn't wide enough.

This dmax hood is the closest I've found. http://www.dmax-us.com/d1-spec-bonnet-frp-nissan-180sx-1056.html

Trying to get more pictures of the underside and measurements.

I didn't do anything with speedo. I wait to place an aftermarket tachometer (but I didn't at last  :D :D :D ). I'm about to place an Apexi Tachometer now but I have a bug in my head that pushing me buy a digital dash!  :D :D So, will see, if I can, I will buy it for sure but I've spend a lot of money till now, that's why I'm thinking about it!
