The guy I got it off of said his friend had 3-4 more he played with.

I have not sat in the car yet but did look inside some and seen some buttons on the top and a digital something on the front middle dash

buttons by the mirror are for the sun roof. If its still in, while pushing open switch arrow toward rear, its usual to need to help push up the rear edge to get the roof up.

centre upper dash are the stock warning lights and clock.

Yeah, 86 or 87 base with the "Luxury" option, same as my first FC.   Good start, one of the lighter chassis.

It's a 87 and yup it's a luxury.

Had a chance to look it over better today.  Rust is not nearly as bad as I thought. Makes me pretty happy.

I'm planning on running a.c. in the future but for this build it is not happening.  I'm also looking at ways to move my alternator.  It would be nice to only cut a hole for the air filter.

I also looked the 351 over. Wow that thing leaks the fluids lol. I guess driving it like a car and off-road use really dried things out.

Easy fixes once on the engine stand.

Good thing is I just put $1200 worth of parts on craigslist.

Looks like a fun swap. There is no replacement for displacement! Wish I could fit a 351 into my car and keep the stock hood! that would take some skill!

Ya I wanted the stock good to shut but oh well. I hope to arrange the alternator different so all I have is a hole for the carb filter

to mount the alternator low, look for a mid 70's alternator bracket from the junkyard..

it will put the alternator low like this

I'm going to go look at a 84 351 which has Holley carb, elderock intake ect ect. Plan was to use the carb components on my 95 roller engine.

Or do I put no money into this engine and beat the piss out of it and build my roller on the side?

I'm afraid it will be a slow crappy sounding pos and I'll just rip it back out lol

I bought the 84 carbed 351. It's a lot nicer then mine lol

Not sure if its truly a 84 but ill try to find out.

Came with
Rear sump oil pan
Holley 600cfm cam
Elderbrock intake
Dizzy and other electrical stuff.
Alternator is also already mounted low.

I just need to figure out how to run my water pump and I'm just going to use this engine and build my roller.

Pics to come
