T56 setup for sale
« on: May 25, 2015, 03:58:59 PM »
So, the 4l80e sitting in my garage means its time to get rid of the t56 set-up.

It's fairly complete, just add clutch and clutch pedal, and I'll even throw in my shift knob.
The t56 is a Tick level II with around 2k miles on it, and 5 passes down the drag strip.  I bought the car from Stefan (priceless) and he couldn't find an invoice for the rebuild, but he sent me a tracking number from where it shipped.  I'll try to contact him to see if he found any paperwork or if he can stop by to vouch for it.
The slave cylinder is basically new with 1k miles on it.
The master cylinder is the popular land cruiser Mc, it is still on the car, but I'm taking it off this weekend.

Asking price is $2,200.  I'm located in Mobile, AL, but I'm willing to ship.  I'll have to build a crate for shipping so it might cost a decent amount to ship.

SOLD

I got the Trans rebuilt in December of 2013 through Tick.  Its a stage 2.  I lost the paper work on it, but i still have the plastic tub it was shipped in.

I barely put any miles on the trans.  I would say less than 200 miles before I sold the car to Cody.

Seemed like a decent starting point given it is reasonably built and comes with a nearly new slave and master cylinder. I saw a stock t56 go for 1800 here a week or two ago.

Any guesstimate on what shipping would run on that to around the Lansing area? (Could probably do a business drop off, if it's cheaper than residential too).

I've already pm'd this info but just for anyone else interested Freight shipping with the trans in a crate is about $300.  UPS shipping in a plastic 45 gal tote is much cheaper, but more likely to get damaged.

this is a good price. I paid $1800 for T56 by itself with no shifter and no hydraulics.

I guess I live in a world of cheapos. I sold a t56 for 900 a couple months ago. I honestly don't see why the price is so high on these things.
