My brother had a couple Miata's and I don't care what anyone says about them, they are a hoot to drive.   :drive:   It is like driving an adult version of a go-kart.  I drove both a 1.8 and a 1.6 (with and without a turbo).  The only thing I didn't care for was the high rpm's on the freeway.

I have a Spec Miata and its a blast of a race car I have nothing against a Miata I work for a Miata shop after all.  But I don't think the LSX engine is the right one for this chassis is all.  The power delivery is to abrupt and brutal for such a small car to make it usable and fun to me.  It takes away all the useful characteristics of the car in its raw form at a road course.

Gut the Miata and use its suspension bits and build a Locost7.
