Yeah right. There isn't a person here who would trade their swapped FD for a 4 cylinder roadster. Especially an early one.
I didn't say fd(reading is tough), I said your heap. Point is that s2k pending condition and mileage is an easy sale, in a broader market.. How long has your car been sitting unsold?  Shit more people want s2k's than rx8's.

Now that's solely contingent on the specifics though. Clean examples get snapped up quick. Lots of people are partial to the ap1's.

Well we can't all have cars like yours with polished bolt heads. Perhaps you should spend more time in the books than a polisher. Op is looking to trade for an FD. Carry on douche

I was specifically speaking to your example. I know that's tough to grasp.

Enjoy your vehicle sir.

Depending on miles and condition that 01 yellow might have been a good straight trade. S2k's are doing well right now.
there was a moderately low mile yelllow s2000 with a factory hardtop locally on Craigslist he started at 16 and I think it was a motivated seller because he went down to 15 and it was then off Craig'slist in a couple days.the factory hard tops with factory mounting hardware usually sell around $4000.  I like the driving experience and performance envelope of a LS FD, but can also appreciate a car that's fun to drive and has AC, power steering and Honda reliability.  this acquaintance of mine used to work for a software company, the president was a multi millionaire and could afford pretty much any car he wanted, his daily driver was a S2000.

4000 for a top? Were those pesos?

I know it sounds crazy, but that's what the tops go for. A '69 Hemi road runner recently went for $89,100 at auction per the most recent issue of Hot Rod magazine.  A well done LS FD would beat the hell out of it in any performance category (can you imagine that car on a road track), but like Bob Lutz said, they aren't making any more of them, so they will probably continue to go up in value.

I'm doing my best to understand your logic but I genuinely don't understand how an iconic american muscle car can be compared to any swapped Japanese car let alone a 4 cylinder roadster. I'm aware people pay way too much for cars all the time, but that's subjective. However Kelly or nada doesn't have a clue when it comes to valuing a swapped FD, a swapped RX8, an restored muscle car, etc. however it's quite easy to see what an early S2000 is worth. OP in case you haven't figured it out, your thread isn't doing much use as a for sale thread so much as it has found great use as a discussion thread. Perhaps you should update your ad with pics and info and remove all of these unnecessary comments,

to lsxrec, the only reason I threw in the roadrunner is to show that cars are coming up in value, some substantially so. a low mile s 2000 with a factory hardtop can sell for 15000 or basically the same price as you are asking for your car. In your case it probably wouldn't make sense to swap cars because you wouldn't be ahead and it sounds like you want the money more than the car.

i see what you mean, but this forun is full of handbuilt hiperformance cars .now thats not always a by word for bomb proof reliability and expert craftmanship. However I feel he would be VERY lucky to swap for an FC. As for my car that like comparing Lennox Lewis to Lisa Simpson. There isnt a car in my price range that i would trade my car for. Especially a four cylinder roadster.
