The S 2000's are coming up in value, but to get a swapped FD LS to anywhere close to the overall condition of a low mile S2k, you would probably have to throw some cash on top of a swap (a 2002 is going to be almost 10 years newer to start.) Zdan might put in his opinion here too since he also has an s2000. I've got a 2003 s 2000 and even with high miles it's had minimal maintenance, also no repairs and parts new and used are relatively affordable, FD's somewhat less so. a local guy that autocrosses a lot told me that s 2000's and pretty much stock rotary FD's do comparable times, another acquaintance that Autocrosses an early 911 with a late model motor (frequently to FTD), has commented how tail happy the s2000's are, which I thought was pretty funny coming from a 911 owner, but it's my experience too and judging by the number of s2000's for sale with rebuilt titles, I think a lot of people get a little over their limits. If you want to swap make sure you understand what you're getting, do a lot of research and maybe pay someone that knows LS FD's to check out a car you're interested in and IMHO, keep a little money around for repairs like gauges, pillowball replacement, etc.
