You have some weird stuff happening there broham, specifically your knees shooting forward about mid way up.

I personally would try and sit back more right after initiating the lift,  and open up your hips more, especially at the bottom.

Your knees are also drifting forward quite a bit on the way down, which will improve with sitting back more.

Good work!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll give it another go next week and see if I can clean it up.

512lb Safety squat bar pr from today. If you've never used an ssb it's extremely humbling. Much harder than a regular squat bar. The weight is tipped forward so it's basically trying to crush your ass the entire time lol https://youtu.be/daztjGFMgmE

Hey spec do you find that you lack ROM when using them.  I tried one, one day I couldn't get ass to grass with it.  I found my arms would hit my quads before I got to the bottom.

Hit it again today.

Bad angle to critique my form but these definitely felt better.
315 x 3 new PB

335 x 1 New PB

Felt nice and stable but knees still forward again.

That is an awesome setup for rings..lol  Can you do a muscle up?

Na, I can get pretty deep with the ssb. If I do a more narrow stance I do tend to run into my legs more.

Great work man!  Looked way better.  You did come forward a bit on 335 but shit it is heavy for you, and form will typically break a bit, at that point. Over all definite improvement.  You can see on the way down you kept in a much better position this week.

Just keep sitting thinking "sit back" as you initiate.  Kinda like if you walked into your bathroom in the total darkness and were trying to find the toilet..heh Keep pushing the hips back and keep the low back real tight.  Also can't tell but make sure you get a big ass breath before you start. Right into your belly(not filling your lungs up), and push into your belt.

People will use the "spread the floor" cue to help drive the knees out, but that never resonated well with me. What I think about is screwing my feet into the floors. Like trying to rotate your toes around the back of your heels.  That will create torque in the hips, and help force the knees out.

One other thing you can try, until you program out that weird forward movement is actively lifting up your big toe in your shoes.  This will help keep you back on your heels.

I actually had Romaleos 2 and kept having a similar issues actually. Never had it before when I wore Adidas powerlift(.6 heel) or after with my Adipowers.  So I don't know. Something about the able of the heels maybe.

I may have to try the toe trick. I felt great today and 315 felt solid but like you said once the weight gets heavy form tends to suffer.  But I'll surely lock it in as I continue to get stronger.

I don't know if it counts when someone sits in the loader and makes the arms go up and down. :yay:

I cant break 90* when i squat for the LIFE of me. My hips start to get wicked cramps and pain unless i really spread wide and toe out. I will rep 225 x 10 for 3 sets because anything heavier and its instant pain.

Gotta hammer mobility work. That area is actually something I struggled with and still do. It's my TFL, and glute medius.  Shit sucks.  Increasing mobility there, is crucial.  An weightlifting(Olympic)  shoe with raised heel does help a bit.

Today is my light squat /heavy deadlift day and I wore my normal flat shoes out of laziness, and my right TFL was killing me at the bottom of every rep.

Lol it doesn't? Haha

Really though I've always wanted to do an iron cross and that being the main reason I got them

Observations so far,  a dead hang muscle up is easier on the rings vs bar

I am closer than I thought for the cross for starting

It literally uses every muscle above your waist,  from the largest to smallest, everywhere
