I've heard they have pizza party's at planet fitness too. What a joke.

Thanks Paul. I've got a few personal goals as far as strength goes but my main goal is to put on quality lean muscle.  I'd love to reach 180 -185 with about 7-12% body fat.  But my biggest hurdle right now is eating enough to put the weight  on and keep it.

Tried low bar squats today for the first time and I really liked it. I have no plans to ditch high bar yet but I will include both in my leg days now. I was able to get 300 for a pair of singles and it felt great.

I'm all for being healthy and strong but lifting to the point that you hurt yourself seems flatly counter productive.

Get better soon Paul!

I agree with you, that's why at 39 I never push myself to hard.  I hurt myself doing something drunk and stupid.   Me and the wife were on holidays in Jamaica and I picked her up with 1 arm..... She's only 120lbs but I guess I did something wrong.  Oh well.

I lift 1 or 2 times a week, just enough to keep me feeling good.   I am not into the traditional type stuff anymore.   Mostly dumbbell and body weight/weighted body stuff anymore. And some cardio

Im a bad eater, I don't take any supplements either

Don't do max type stuff anymore, if I do a flat bench once In a while i can  usually get around 9-10 reps at 225

If there is one thing I am good at it is pull up/up n over type crap, and shoulders

I'm 6'1"sit around 175 area, just going to turn 30

It's amazing how your body can change.  It's also amazing that after 5 days of drinking and eating like a champ, a 6 pack can turn back into a no pack.... Lol.

I've always been kind of a skinny guy, 6'1" and between 173-178 for the last 8 years.  Been on deployment for 2 months and lifting 2 out of 3 days, trying to intake about 150-170g of protein a day.  So far I'm up to 195 lbs.  I've pretty much always been able to bench 225, and recently had a mild issue with my shoulder after i tried 290, so haven't been doing flat bench much (back to 250 or so comfortably).  I have gotten much better at squat and deadlift though.  When I got here I could barely do 225, 205 was still mildly uncomfortable.  The last week I got 315x5 for both.  My goal is to do 1000 lbs between squat, deadlift, and bench before I leave (about another 6 weeks), and be able to run 2 miles in under 14 mins.  The running was never an issue before, but recently even "slow" runs have burned me out quick.  I know I'm not going to have as much time when I get back home with kids, etc, but maybe I can maintain whatever I get to out here.
