Basically a hard top Boxster. Nice job.
Probably one of the best sports cars for the money you could ever own.

Congrats

She is definitely happy. She said she can't stop smiling when she drives it.

I was hoping you'd choose the Cayman S! Lol.

I just could not bring myself to by the Base model when the S was not much more.

It's funny, I hate the Boxster, but somehow when you make it into a Cayman...  I like it a lot.   Baby 911 pretty much.

I feel the same way. The Cayman does look like the 911's Hot sister.  :D

Yep, I agree too. Even when the Boxster has a removable hardtop on it, it still doesn't look near as nice as the Cayman.

I mentioned the BRZ/FRS to my wife and she did not like it.

She loves the Cayman though.  :drive:

Yes it would. Hope it doesn't happen anytime soon though.

MIATA, we are on our third one, change the timing belt at 70 or 80K and drive it 200K and you might have to do the brakes and a radiator.
My adult son has well over 250K on his daily driver and He beats the shit out of it, like tires every 8 to 9K, hills and lots of twistes

So just thought I would give an update on Cayman S. Last couple of months I noticed some seeping from the Rear Main seal/IMS area. I figured no big deal, just a little leak. Then about a month ago it started leaking a lot. It would leave 10" diameter puddle in the garage. I thought RMS was the culprit. I pulled the transmission a few weeks ago, and discovered that the IMS cover/support cover was leaking. I replaced the IMS cover seal, and the RMS while I was in there. I inspected the IMS bearing and it has Zero play, which is good because you have to split the case to replace the bearing.

I also replaced the clutch and Flywheel(Dual mass, cant resurface). total parts cost was $800 and my labor. It's almost back together, just waiting on a few parts to arrive.

I was also surprised how easy it is to remove the transmission on these mid-engine cars.
